REVIEW:

This is a wonderful anthology filled with stories that will warm your heart and are quick reads. Here is a quick synopsis of the ones I read so far:

  • One-Life Stand by Grae Bryan

Bracken is a gorgeous high-maintenance fae that just planned on a one-and-done night of fantastic sex with the handsome and rugged human barkeep Tanner. Fast forward four months later and he’s pregnant and been kicked out of the fae realm for the unplanned pregnancy with human no less. But he has to save face and be in control so he is is his typical hoity-toity self. But deep down inside both men know that a human  getting an omega fae pregnant is very rare and freakish compatibility. I loved that Bracken kept Tanner on his toes but it was actually Tanner who loved his omega and would do anything for him and his future child.

  • Alpha for Hire by Tony Wise

Such a fun short story about a very independent omega (Allen) who finally requires the services of an Alpha for rent (Dario) to help him through his next heat. But the scent of the beautiful man he interviews to hire for his services sets him into his heat immediately. I loved that these two are perfect for each other and true mates. This sweet story is filled with lots  of knotty heat and you are cheering for those sweet partners falling in love to trust telling the other. I love Toby Wise’s MPREG stories and this one was perfect!

  • Not in the Birth Plan by Kerry Kilpatrick

A new to me author that grabbed my attention with this wonderful story of an Alpha triggered heat (I’m thinking that they are true mates) and a perfect second meeting. I loved that Uber driver Silas was Rowan’s driver both times he needed support. Fate knew what she was doing with these two and that sweet baby sealed the story!

  • Of Rain and Enchanted Forests by Layla Dorine

A very fast story that takes place all in one night. Laney, a Pixie/Elven mix breed that’s a trained and experienced companion, is discovered to have a shadow side. Next thing he knows, the father of his unborn child breaks their engagement and disavowed the baby. Dumped in the big city during a strong rain storm, Laney is rescued by a gargoyle named Marcus and brought back to his mansion home. There he meets Marcus’s brother Truett and keeps looking to see if the colors on his wrist appear because this feels real to him. I really hope that this is the prelude to what appears to be a fascinating and wonderful new book.

  • Blood of the Damned -Thorn by JP Sayle

Only JP Sayle could ever dream up how vampires give birth to their babies 😱. I should know, especially when it comes to paranormal, to Expect the Unexpected with her books. That being said, this was a unique twist to vampire books for me that I truly enjoyed and now want all the rest of Thorn’s brother’s stories too!

  • Knotted Hearts by Kota Quinn

This story touched me personally very deeply and gave me hope. Seeing Brooks be such a noble man that accepted Kes the way he was, with all his needs, really resonated with me. This came right at the perfect moment and was a boost I needed that life is not over, even at my advanced age, and good things can still be hoped for. Their love story was filled with hope and promise. I highly recommend this wonderful story to anyone who is struggling whit who they are and what their future holds.

  • Securing His Mate by Minerva Howe

Minerva Howe has created this intricate and vast Dragon Universe that I have immersed myself in. She has all these wonderful dragon clans and stories woven together so that you never know who you will see pop up (or sometimes just pop through the rock in the mountains they dwell in!) If you have not crossed over into this dimension you have a true treat awaiting you and many, many hours of enjoyable reading in your future. This story was a sweet, quick treat to wet your whistle and I hope that you enjoy Starry and Reed’s HEA 🥰
