Cloyce
I’ve been looking forward to spending the Fourth of July weekend by a gorgeous lake with my hot hockey player boyfriend and his best friend. But when Jax walks in on Draper and I mid-act, the weekend takes a turn. A very unexpected turn.
Draper
I’m head over skates in love with Cloyce, my beautiful, ginger-haired, plus-sized boyfriend. When Jax catches us, it opens up a secret whispered in the dark two years ago we haven’t spoken about since. There’s nothing I won’t share with my best friend, but does that include Cloyce?
Jax
The sight of my bestie and his boyfriend going for it is going to live rent-free in my head permanently. Surely lusting after my best friend’s boyfriend is wrong. Unless Draper remembers what, I confessed to him two years ago. Does he even remember that night…and would he be willing to share Cloyce with me?
Hot Pucking Summer is a scorching MMM poly romance featuring two pro hockey players (with very big sticks) and a plus-sized redhead up for a challenge.
Double the fun, double the laughs, and double the steam—make your summer sizzle with the deliciously naughty Hot Summer series.
REVIEW:
Disclaimer: This is book two in the Hot Summer series, but you don’t necessarily have to read book 1 to enjoy this story. It’s helpful as there are brief references to the characters in the first book.
The world building is great. We have a small town – Cumcircle, that is a friendly oasis for these characters. I love how Casey describes the town as somewhere where everyone just minds their own business. I think I want to live there. With the backdrop of hockey, this was a must read for me.
Even in the brief 68 pages of this story, we get a wonderfully funny, deep and detailed handle on the three main characters in this story. That’s right, you read that correctly, this is a polyamory story. A well done one at that. I love how Casey explores the body dysmorphia of one of our main characters. Being a plus sized person can have an impact on not only ones mental health, but the ability to have a healthy relationship. And he handles it brilliantly or should I say Jax and Draper handle it brilliantly.
Draper cuts the engine, rests his forearm over the steering wheel and smiles that heart-melting smile of his. “You looked so damn cute I didn’t want to.”
The heat in my cheeks intensifies. It’s not that I don’t believe it when Draper compliments me on my appearance, it’s just that it brings a lifetime of my own insecurities to the surface.
If we were in high school, Draper Fassmacher would be the hot, popular jock that everyone worships and clamors to have come to their parties, while I’d be the chubby musical theater nerd who divides his free time between debate team and the science olympiad.
I’m always impressed when an author can create such a wonderful story, in just a small amount of pages. Casey has great comedic timing, at the same time creating a well rounded short throple story. This is definitely a quick read, but with so much crammed into the story, it doesn’t feel like a short story and is well worth it.
I highly recommend this book and as usual, run don’t walk to grab this funny, yet sweet MMM story from your favorite eBook purchasing site. I hope there will be more stories in this series, as I just love stories that include three or more partners.
Till next time…
