Griff
Jamieson Carr is my best friend, the one bright light in my mostly dark life.
He’s sunshine, easy smiles, and a world-class bull rider.
Me? I’m just a surly bull fighter with a sixth sense around animals.
He thinks I’m the reason he’s so good, but that’s not true at all. Jamieson is a shining star who doesn’t need me.
I should be glad I’m the lucky one who gets to stand beside him…but I’ve always wanted more.

Jamieson
Griff Shepard saved my life.
Of course, that’s best friend goals don’t you think? Without him, I wouldn’t be half the bull rider I am today. He’s my good luck charm, closest confidant, and partner-in-crime all rolled into one.
Griff might be a little grumpy, but he’s always got my back and joins in when I sing. Who doesn’t love a good sea shanty?
I thought I knew everything about Griff.
Until a road trip… and one kiss.

Bull Riders Don’t Swoon is an emotionally charged romance between two best friends who work together in rodeo. A grumpy bull fighter who pines for his best friend finally shares his secrets—all of them. A road trip that turns into romance, heartfelt confessions, and an obsession with blueberries.
Bull Riders Don’t Swoon will definitely have you swooning when Jamieson realizes the power of love.

REVIEW:

Note:  This is the second book in this series and has spoilers for the first book 🙂

Oh Jamieson and Griffin have it bad!  Too bad only one of them realizes that 😉  Griff has been in love with his best friend Jamieson since University.  He’s vowed to stick with Jamie and keep him safe.  Towards the end of uni, they had a threesome going, but Griff backed out.  He couldn’t watch another man with his best friend that he’s head over heels for.

Ten years later they are on the rodeo circuit.  Jamieson is in the best shape of his career and he’s going to go all out this season as a bull rider.  Griff is a bullfighter and keeps Jamie and the other riders safe.  He’s already had one injury in the past when Jamie was riding and Jamie is always worried about him.  But he will do anything to keep his best friend safe.

Turns out being in love with his best friend isn’t the only thing Griff has been hiding.  His father is an alcoholic who is getting worse and Griff is worried that he’s killing himself with the drink.   He’s embarrassed and scared and he doesn’t know where to turn.

When Griff gets injured after Jamie’s ride, Jamie wants to take care of him. They had already planned on a vacation trip.  When they get there a little Pride event has Griff kissing his best friend.  The surprise is the Jamie kisses him back.  What the what what??  And he likes it!  The damn finally bursts and Griff is honest with Jamie about lots of things.

Griff has been afraid of losing his best friend.  Jamieson realizes he’s been pretty obtuse for years!  Griff’s dad IS getting worse.  Jamie wants to help and he wants to build a life with Griff 😀

I loved these two.  Griff was such a strong guy, but he was taking on a lot of burdens that weren’t necessarily his to handle alone.  Jamieson had his eyes opened to what has been in front of him all along.  He really wants to make things up to Griff and support him and he does so 🙂  They were so sweet!  He never shamed Griff for anything – which is a lot more than can be said for others.  There are other issues that come up with some of the secondary characters here – who I KNOW we will see more of in future 😉  I can’t wait.  This is a pretty low angst best friends to lovers story with an epic HEA and a lovely ending.  Recommended!!!
