REVIEW:

This is a very short (less than an hour) story about Wren, a travel v-logger, who takes out his trusty van, Marge, wherever he goes. He’s a product of foster care and this makes him feel he has no real roots, other than the friends he’s made when he works at Sweet Buns bakery. He stops in there to work a day or two when he’s in town, because he’s loyal.

When he sets out on his next adventure, however, Marge decides to act a fool and breaks down on the side of a dark country road. By chance, he breaks down right by Jordan’s house. Jordan owns a construction company, is a workaholic, and is exhausted. There is an immediate connection between the two.

This was my first experience listening to Zachary Zaba, and I’ll say, he is a joy to listen to! His voice is calming, and I could always tell who was speaking, something that is important to me because I am normally listening in my car and can’t really rewind.

Super short, cute prequel to the Promises, Promises series.
