BLURB:
The dragon veil has recently opened, allowing dragons to pass from the human dimension into the dragonlands. They left behind Cosmo and his two brothers, Cullen and Corbin, to guard the gateway between worlds. Cosmo has never really fit into any dimension, being half dragon and half fae, so he figures it’s a pretty good life, especially since he’ll never have a mate. And then he meets Hawk.
Hawk is old. Old enough to have forgotten whole centuries. But when he wakes to find his house has moved to Cosmo’s place, he discovers a whole new interest in life. Cosmo is perfect for him, but Hawk has some convincing to do as he and Cosmo try to come together and bridge the gap between human, fae, and dragon while they start a family of their own.
This is an mpreg dragon shifter romance.
REVIEW:
When I read Dragon Defender I realized that I had missed something important. Now it all makes so much more sense.
Cosmo and his triplet brothers, Cullen and Corbin, are half dragon and half fae shifters that have been chosen to be the defenders of the opening to the dragon veil. They have settled in nicely in the three houses that have somehow grown together to guard the veil’s opening. And they can cross back and forth between the dragonlands that they are guardians of, the Land of Summer (where their parents live) and the human dimension. Each brother has a unique gift. Corbin has a magical touch at growing things, Cullen possesses magical powers and Cosmo is a seer. But being a seer isn’t fun or productive in his mind and he has no control when and what he sees. Nor the ability to interpret what he sees in his trace-like visions. All he knows is that danger is out there and vampires are still very much a danger to the dragons. When a very large and very ancient dragon appears at their home he assumes it’s to cross over to the dragonland. But Hawk is wondering how his home was transported from California to the Colorado Rockies while he was asleep in a cave for the last two decades. When Cosmo and Hawk discover that they are fated mates new concerns for the pair arise. Once dragons crossover to the dragon lands they can’t return and Cosmo can’t leave his mate or his brothers!
I simply love Minerva Howe’s shifters and the entire Dragon Veil Universe. All these book series are coming together and I love how the dragons and their families now have Guardians in the triplets. They have all worked so hard to finally have peace in their lives to live together and their children to grow up in a safe place with others like them that are allowed to be themselves. What a wonderful place that would be.
Cosmo has so much on his shoulders as a seer. And having Hawk not only respect that but in awe of his gift was wonderful. I loved these two and the respect they had for each other and Hawk embracing that the triplets needed to remain by each other’s side. Hawk has waited a very only time for his mate and he got a really special one. The fact that he has always been a collector of all things pink and precious was perfect.
I’m excited for Cullen’s book next and can’t wait to see who is his mate?
