Book 2 of this series does not disappoint. Which leads me to my usual disclaimer. You really need to read book one of this series. It would also be helpful if you’ve read the series, this is a spin off of. As characters from that series, make appearances in this book and series.
Once again, the world building is fantastic. Vawn ramps up the world building, as she incorporates the Legend of Lover’s Hollow into this book. A Valentine’s Day murder mystery, that exposes some deadly, very pissed off ghosts.
The character building has been turned up a notch, with the addition of more characters to the cast list. We meet a film crew that has come to film an episode for a ghost hunting streaming show. Which introduces us to a potential love interest for Warren, Morgan’s brother. More antics from the resident ghosts, including young Artie. I love how much depth of character is described and incorporated into the story line. You really get to see what makes each character, whether main or side, tick.
Vawn’s creativity and sense of humor is once again on display throughout this book. She covers multi plots, and multi book arcs in this series. Ellis and Morgan’s burgeoning love story continues to evolve, with more than a few sexy time adventures throughout the hotel. There is the “evil” ghosts associated with the lovers legend and a few wonderful surprises along the way.
Will Ellis and Morgan survive the pissed off ghosts? Will Warren meet his match with Thad? Will Sam help solve Artie’s mystery? Will Stanley give in to Roger? Sorry folks, I am not going to reveal any of this information… You will need to grab this book for yourself.
I can’t recommend this book enough. I insist you need to run right out and grab this one from your favorite eBook purchasing site. You will not regret it.
