Oliver is worried he’s ruined any chance of a relationship between Adar, Delton, and him. One moment of not thinking, one moment of saying too much, and he betrayed Delton’s confidence and Adar’s trust in him. Can this ever be repaired?

Hope sparks in Oliver as Delton decides to stay rather than leave the pack and Adar seems determined to build at least a friendship with Delton. Slowly, the three are making progress, growing closer.

But Adar has vowed to avenge Oliver, and when he gets a chance to fight the man who inflicted so much pain on Oliver, he takes it. When Dempsey fights dirty, does Adar stand a chance?

Meanwhile, the pack struggles with their alpha’s disappearance in arctic Sweden. Will Rhene make his way home to his pack…and his family?

Dragon’s Revenge is the seventh book in the Irresistible Dragons series, a series that needs to be read in order or it won’t make much sense. Please do mind the trigger warnings. The book ends with an HEA, but the series itself will continue.

REVIEW:

Finally! I know I am being dramatic but I only have so much patience and 14 months is a long time to wait to hear what happened with Rhene and Delton.

Oliver may have really blown his relationship with who he knows deep down are his two true mates. Delton had threatened to leave the pack but he has finally agreed to stay. Adar realizes that Oliver isn’t as perfect as Adar put the image of the traumatized omega on a pedestal. And we all make mistakes. Oliver had the best of intentions but he’s young and had been horribly abused and mistreated. And he just wanted to make sure their triad worked. But now it’s blown up in his face and he knows he’s to blame! But it’s going to take all three to work hard to get to know their true selves and repair this. Only then can they learn if they truly are a triad. In the meantime, there are more abused dragon omegas that are coming in from the Dragon Council’s Red Tent lead by fellow omega Zack. And Erwan’s fading fast with the time that has elapsed without his mate, Rhene’s disappearance and suspected kidnapping. But will Rhene’s solution to get back home cause more trouble and heartbreak bringing the last Dragon Slayer to their home?

There is so much that happens in this book that it’s hard to know where to start. But I guess Oliver, Denton and Adar need to go first. The twists and turns of their story really grabbed my attention and I seriously was worried that Author Nora Phoenix had written herself into a corner. But I should have know that she had the perfect solution. I just had to sit back and watch it all unfold. Oliver, with his past and the horrors that he endured, was my biggest worry. How would he fit into the dynamic of the triad. Add in Adar’s need for impact play and dominance, it was sure to be a serious problem for Oliver to witness. I loved that Denton turned out, in my mind at least, to be the key mate to make them all work. Once they all got past who they thought was their mate and openly embraced that all three were a critical and intricate part of their triad it started to finally work. I knew that they just needed to learn to communicate and accept it.

And what would an Irresistible Omegas or Dragon’s book be without danger and battles. However, this is a battle I have been waiting for almost as much as Adar! The ex-Murphy Clan is disgusting and Dempsey is very bad news. Expecting someone so dishonorable to fight within the rules was ridiculous. You simply can not trust that disgusting excuse for a Dragon-shifter. And he got what was coming to him but nothing even close to what he deserved for what he did to omegas, especially Oliver. But what a cost!

I know I can’t question Rhene’s decision. Neither could his pack. They knew he knew it was either make a deal and live with the consequences or he and Erwan would die without their true mate. And I’m sure that all that Diff Bàs witnessed has him confused and questioning the “truths” his elders passed on to their clan forever.

I am going to warn you. Although Denton, Oliver and Adar’s story has come to their HEA, there is, in typical Nora Phoenix style, a wee bit of a cliffhanger for the pack. And I for one, can wait to see what she throws at us next. Because I have grown to know to expect the unexpected in this universe!
