Sweet on You by Colette Davison
Review by True
Cameron is a twenty-five-year-old guy who takes care of his ten-year-old brother Elliott. Their dad, Lewis, is in China for business for the next six months.
Eulan is their thirty-five-year-old neighbor, who has a ten-year-old son, Peter. Peter and Elliott are best friends.
Little detail… Eulan and Lewis are best friends too.
Elliott and Peter have a sneaky plan. For school, the parents have to bake cupcakes. They insist Cameron and Eulan should bake together. Why? They see more than Cameron and Eulan know.
Cameron has the hots for Eulan for years already. And Eulan? Oh boy, he too, but Cameron is ten years younger and his friend’s son. He can’t, he shouldn’t.
Watch them, because Cameron makes a move!
They play a delicious, sensual baking game. Thank goodness it’s a story with all the good vibes, so there are only winners!
I loved this short story, it has everything I wanted, great development, amazing characters, and a hea!

Cheesecake Roses by Becca Jackson
Review by Ro
This short story focuses on Nate – a former Banana Ball player who was injured and lost his dream career. He’s been floating since then, afraid to try new things in case they are lost to him as well. The story begins with Nate sitting with his mom at a lawyer’s office, waiting for the reading of his Uncle Jack’s will. Nate and his mom used to spend time at Uncle Jack’s resort but a falling out between Mom and Jack ten years ago stopped that. I admit, I was miffed that the cause of the fight never comes to light, so if dangling plot lines bug you beware!
Jack left half of the resort to Nate, and half to Remy, the pastry chef there. All Jack wants to do is sell it, all Remy wants is to keep it going, continually improving it. Jack doesn’t remember but when he spent time there, Remy was his partner in crime. Remy had a crush on Jack back then, and it sort of continues when he sees him again.
Be ready when reading this because Remy’s pastries sound INCREDIBLE. The cheesecake roses are just the beginning. I loved Remy. He likes to be in charge of breakfast and dessert because “I love the idea that my food is the first thing a guest will eat when they wake and the last thing they do before they sleep. It has a nice completeness to it. They start and end their days with me.” I thought, that’s exactly what I want from a resort!
This is short and sweet, if a little too quick. One added bonus for me, I just read Home, Hearts, Hooves and didn’t even realize it was connected to this story. I got an added Easter egg in getting to see Dean and the guys again!

The Deaf Chef by E M Lindsey
Reviewed by Mal
I love Millie and Rhett. EM Lindsey’s insightful, emotional and sensitive style lends itself perfectly to the their story. This grumpy x worry wart sweet romance tracks from a meet cute and instant attraction to something infinitely more meaningful
“This is something. He’s someone.”
They meet on campus where Millie has brought his food truck and Rhett is a Deaf interpreter. Rhett doesn’t make the best first impression but is stick firmly affixed in Millie’s mind.
Also these two are fire together, I’d love to see the moments building up for them as the relationship progresses, I hope the author makes this a full book, I am very invested. I’d also love Otto’s story.

The Chef’s Kiss – Mia Monroe
Review by Sadonna
Deliciously Cookie by Vawn Cassidy
Review by Cheryl K.
This story is so fun and sexy, it is part of Vawn’s Belong to Me series. That being said, you don’t need to read the other books to read this brilliantly crafted short story.
In this story we meet Quinn and Cookie. Quinn is one of the Ainsley brothers. Carlito Rodriguez aka Cookie is a visitor to Cornish Bay where the story takes place and is an employee of the local bakery, where he meets Quinn by drowning him with a coffee.
As the two get to know each other, best kept secrets are laid bare. Quinn, who thinks he is straight, reveals to Cookie his attraction to him, but also the secret life he has been living for the past several years.
A little background here for those that have not read this series – the Ainsley’s own a restaurant and when the father passes quickly from cancer, Quinn drops out of college overwhelmed by his grief over his father’s passing. Cookie and his BFF Tyler are only visiting on their way to London. Cookie is helping Colin, the bakery owner, as he is overwhelmed with business.
Quinn and Cookie are so sweet and so very sexy together. As I have come to expect, Vawns delivers with the snark, sweetness, and first-time sexy romance. If you love sweet first-time romances, you will love this one from Vawn.
