Nico avoids commitment like it’s contagious. Too bad Levi’s already under his skin.
Nico
Nico is all about living his best life, trading the drama of relationships for the thrill of casual flings. But Nico’s carefully crafted independence wobbles when a one-night stand with Levi—a Daddy who understands his bratty side—turns into a repeat thing. The more they connect, the more Nico fears commitment will trap him in a life he’s worked hard to escape.
Levi
Levi loves a good challenge, and Nico is the perfect mix of bratty and free-spirited. But Nico’s love of chaos in his personal life and his allergy to commitment make things anything but simple. When Nico bolts, Levi has to decide: chase after the boy who might never be ready or accept he’s not the Daddy that Nico needs after all.
Just a Little Fling is book three of the Just A Little series but can be read as a stand-alone. It has a Daddy who loves the feisty ones, a brat who loves to play the field, a couple who comes to understand that commitment doesn’t close every option, and interfering friends who don’t know when to leave well enough alone.
REVIEW:
This is a story of a boy who thinks he is a middle rather than a little and who has sworn off of relationships and the Daddy who wants to look after him.
When Nico and Levi meet at Gabe and Rory’s engagement there is an instant connection between them. However, Nico doesn’t want Levi to know anything about him so refuses share his name and they continue meeting but only using nicknames and, in a hotel, nowhere personal.
Fate intervenes though when Owen moves out of the place he is renting and Nico takes over the lease. Unbeknown to Nico, Levi turns out to be his landlord. Of course that’s not the start of a beautiful relationship. Nico is far to be stubborn and self-sabotaging for that. Fortunately, Levi’s Daddiness is greater than Nico’s stubbornness. After a drunken visit from Nico to Levi, Levi knows he has to show Nico he is safe to trust and that he won’t abandon him.
This book felt a little different to the others to me. There was a lot more sex in it than the other books. This is in part because at the start that is because their relationship was purely about hooking up at least from Nico’s perspective.
As I have come to enjoy in Kerry’s books, we get to see the other littles we have met in her prior books. Its lovely seeing Jakob, Rory and Owen enfold Nico into their group and accepting him and supporting him as he discovers he is actually more of a little than middle. It is also great seeing Nico understand that his and Levi’s relationship doesn’t have to be the same as anyone else’s.
My plea again to Kerry is please, please can Anders have his own book with a happy ever after. He is such a nice guy, and he really needs to get away from his controlling boyfriend.
