REVIEW:
The is book three of the Gravity books from Ms. Kindle Alexander. We follow the lives of Beau Brooks and Dash Richmond. If you have read the first two books, Friction and Fusion, then you are aware of what Dash’s parents did to Beau all those years ago. And you would also know that Dash left everything to be with Beau. In Fusion, Dash worked hard to become partner in the firm he joined resulting to Beau feeling unimportant and neglected which further resulted to him leaving Dash in Chicago and going back home. But Dash does love Beau very much because he realized what he has done and resigned, packed his things and went after Beau. Although Beau asked for a year for them to set their lives and priorities right, they do belong with each other, they love each other that much.
In this third installment, we see Dash and Beau living their best lives, with triplet girls and a baby boy. Dash’s practice is booming, his home life is amazing. He and Beau are happy and so busy taking care of the kids with Amelia’s help. She has been loyal to both Dash and Beau and would go everywhere they go. Ava, Mia, Livie and West are their everything. Beau’s charter business, partnered with his best friend Scott, is successful that Scott’s father want to invest in it by buying a bigger boat to add to their fleet.
There was one instance in their lives where a health scare occurred, oh my God, this part scared me to death. I want these two to live forever, they are too precious. But Dash being Dash, stubborn and so focus on the lives he wants his family to live in, strive to get better as soon as possible. Beau being practical all the time, always reminds Dash that he was just at death’s door so he has to take it easy for a while. It all worked out though as we see them a few years later with two new additions to their family, Hunter and Fisher. With a brood of six, Amelia, Linda, Carter and Kailey and with Scott and Lauren and their own children, their lives are complete.
Except one day two new clients came to Dash’s firm and requested an audience with him. It was a class suit against his family, specifically his father and two brothers. To say Dash was astounded by his family’s acts would be an understatement. What they did was downright criminal. But he cannot take on this case alone, it would bury him, he needs someone to help him, and that would be his former boss, Lon, from the Chicago law firm he worked for before. But first of all, he had to talk to Beau about this, he cannot make this decision alone, because his family would be buried when news of the lawsuit comes out. His family always play dirty so he knows how they would react. His own family would be put in scrutiny. Their lifestyles would be put under a microscope especially as they are Gay fathers with 6 children.
But Love is Love and with a love as strong as what Dash and Beau have, they surpassed the biggest trial of their lives and WON! Their opponent proposed to settle, the twenty seven women who were the victims can now move on with their lives, being acknowledged as victims and they will get paid for what they have endured throughout the years, that feeling that they did something wrong because it happened to them would start to heal finally.
Ms. Kindle Alexander, you both are amazing! The writing and the way the story was presented just made me fall in love with these two amazing humans even more. Thank you very much for sharing them with us. Congratulations!
