LENGTH: 268 pages
RELEASE DATE: March 11, 2025
BLURB:
Hell’s most incompetent demon meets Earth’s most hopeless romantic.
All Ethan wanted was someone who could help him find love—or at least someone to pop his cherry. A spell from an odd book he found at the library promised him a wish from Cupid. Sure, some of the ingredients weren’t easy to get, but he could improvise. Was there really that much difference between dried laurel leaves and coriander?
He never meant to summon a demon.
Malphas hasn’t been to Earth in a hundred years, not since he accidentally created a massively successful support group for gamblers and saved hundreds of souls from damnation. As punishment, he’s stuck in Hell’s archives filing dusty prophecies because his boss is convinced, he’s incapable of being properly evil.
When Ethan’s summoning yanks him topside, he sees his chance to prove himself. He’ll make a deal with the human—and collect that blindingly bright soul.
All he has to do is to help Ethan get together with his crush.
What could possibly go wrong?
Low angst, high comedy m/m romance. HEA guaranteed, no break-ups, no cheating.
REVIEW:
What a fun twist to a Demon and Rom-Com story. What a fun new story and series from Silvana Falcon. Silvana doesn’t disappoint with this one and I’m already looking forward to the next book in the series.
As I’ve come to expect, wonderful world building is a guarantee from a Silvana story. Melding the demon realm with the mortal realm is just brilliant.
As I always expect from her, character development was above and beyond. She doesn’t skimp with side character or main character development. What is fun about this one is the demon that is the complete opposite of what you would expect… He’s a nice demon, not a power grabbing meany demon.
I am never disappointed with Silvana’s prose. This story is no exception. Not only do we get a brilliantly devised story plot, but we get lots of banter, snark and sheer fun. Malphas adjusting to the modern world is priceless. We do have some sexy times for Malphas and Ethan, but the are super-hot and story driven – not just a sex scene to titillate.
Noah grabbed his arm. “Look, there’s Axel Tanner. He’s cute, he’s single, and he’s friendly. Just… say hi.”
Axel rounded the corner, carrying a stack of magazines. His eyes lit up, brightening his face with a warm smile when he saw Ethan.
Not the kind of reaction Ethan usually got from people.
“Hi!” he squeaked. Then immediately hid behind Noah.
Axel shot him a confused look, then waved and went on his way.
“Wow.” Noah shook his head. “That was… something.”
“I panicked!”
“I noticed. But hey, at least you made a sound this time. That’s progress from last week when the coffee shop guy smiled at you, and you just stared at him like a startled deer.”
“It was unexpected.”
Will the demon realm punish Malphas, or will they reward him? Will Ethan lose his virginity? Do Malphas and Ethan get a happy ending? Is there a major plot twist? You know the assignment. I’m not going to reveal such details. So, get yourself a copy of this brilliantly funny story.
This story is the prefect definition of a Rom-Com – a story that deals with love in light, humorous way. I highly recommend this story and series. Please don’t hesitate to snatch this one up and enjoy the hilarious and poignant antics of Malphas and Ethan.
