He was my first sin. My first love. And he’s about to ruin me all over again.
Easton
Some men ruin you slowly. Others break you all at once.
Jace was never supposed to be in my life again. Not after what he did. Not after they took him away.
But he’s here, standing in my doorway with a smirk that makes my pulse trip and my gut clench.
He needs a place to stay. I should slam the door in his face.
Instead, I let him in.
Enemies. Exiles. Rivals. Lovers?
This isn’t a love story. This is a disaster waiting to happen.
And I can’t wait for the impact.
Jace
He wants me gone. I want him begging. Let’s see who wins.
Easton never knew what to do with me.
He wanted to fight me. He wanted to kiss me.
Now that I’m back, he’s still pretending he can resist.
Cute.
But I know him too well. I know the way his breathing changes when I get close.
I know how his body reacts before his brain can catch up.
I know exactly how to break him.
And I will.

REVIEW:
Gosh, I’m not sure how to review this without giving too much of the story.
Easton made one mistake, one error in judgment, and his life turned into hell and disaster.
Another disaster showed up at his doorstep. His adopted brother. It’s been seven years.
‘Loving a child that bore none of your genetic material required you not to be a selfish piece of shit.’
Yes, they both got adopted by shit parents.
What happened there formed them, and it was bad.
Jace and Easton in one room was from the start not easy at all.
The older they got the more complicated things got. Until it got unliveable.
Easton just wants to play hockey and become an NHL player. If it was only that easy.
Having Jace back in his life was complicated. The morally grey, heavily tattooed, protective guy in his space again, did something to him, they share awful memories. There are debatable feelings.
The dynamic was changing, the chemistry was already there and off the charts.
The story gets hotter and scorching, giving over the reins, taking charge, it’s all happening.
Hell or heaven? Left or right. Out or closeted. Stay or go. Hate or love?
To be honest I feared a bit for what was possibly coming.
What a ride this was, the feelings were all over the place and palpable. It’s not an easy read, my heart shattered for them. It was quite a harsh experience, all so realistically written. The matters they went through weren’t just miraculously gone. The necessary healing was hard, but oh boy, the conclusion was thank goodness satisfying!
While reading, the story made me feel heavily melancholic, the end brought me to tears!
