BLURB:
It never failed. A warm night, a few beers, and the conversation always came around to our recent hook-ups.
The weekend at the lake was part of our routine, and we’ve been doing it for years. A chance to catch up, relax, and swap stories.
It’s like a competition—who can share the hottest encounter, who’s found the cutest guy…
No-holds-barred kinda stories.
What made this weekend different?
We’d each had to leave someone behind for a few nights.
Then one of us had an idea, and we ran with it—not that we hadn’t all come up with the same idea.
There was plenty of room for four extra guests, right?
What we didn’t know is where it would lead.
Four men.
Four tales.
One hell of a weekend.
REVIEW:
Erotica for the win. Sometimes I’m just in the mood for lots of sexy times and this book fills that niche very well. But there’s a twist with this one. KC managed to incorporate a wonderful story in between all the rounds of hot sex.
As usual her world building is story appropriate and just brilliant. The sheer volume of research she did for this story is impressive. Her attention to detail is second to none.
Her research also delves deep with her character development. From her main characters to all the side characters we get such a deep sense of who they really are. With four sets of main characters, attention to detail is critical. Jeff, Doug Travis, Randy are the main characters is this story. Then we have Brandon, Austin, Cameron, Logan as their love interests. She has created a very diversified cast for this story, which I love. Including a brilliantly written trans character.
The versatility she shows in her writing is mind blowing for me. In this story we have low angst, very little drama, age gap and just a smile inducing amount of sexy times. Which in this case is an intricate part of each couple’s back and current story. I want to note that this story, as mentioned earlier, has a trans character. This character was written with the utmost attention to detail. This was my first book with a trans character in it and I loved how authentic it felt. And for good measure, KC threw in a fun little twist towards the end of the book. But I’m not going to tell you what it is. Cause I am evil like that. If you want to know, y’all need to grab this book and read it.
I highly recommend this book. My advice is to sprint, not just run to purchase this book from your favorite eBook purchasing site. I can only hope there are more K.C. Wells writing as Tantalus books on the horizon.
