Starting over is daunting, but Poe finds friends in the dragons who have crossed the veil before, and in the guardians who keep the open gate between words safe. And then there’s Cade.
Caderyn has been the protector of a dragon village in the dragon world of Lunastra for a long, long time. And he’s been lonely all that time, because he doesn’t really fit in with the village. But then he meets Poe, and his rescued daughter Tanya, and all that starts to change. He knows Poe is his mate, and he sets out to woo him, giving Poe a much needed home between the village and the Rocky Mountain clutch up the mountainside.
Cade knows it’s time to start his family, and Poe knows he can be happy here, but can they face a threat against all they hold dear and find their place together?
This is a novel length dragon shifter mpreg book with love and a tiny bit of danger and a happy ending!
REVIEW:
If you are like me and a huge fan of Minerva Howe and her dragon shifter universe then you will absolutely love this book. We get to see many of the families of dragons that we have fallen in love with and get to now truly embrace their new home/world/universe that they crossed over the veil to live in.
Poe is going to die and he doesn’t have any strength to fight off his kidnappers. The vampires love his dragon blood and that’s the only reason that he has still been kept barely alive…to be fed upon. But when he realizes that they have now captured a young girl dragon he knows he has to find a way for them to escape right now. With the help of Corbin and Hawk they escape and are taken to the home where Cosmo helps them prepare to cross over to Lunastra and dragon safety. But Poe is cautious and knows he needs to make sure that his new daughter Tanya is safe. And he is also intrigued by the beautiful dragon he sees through the window of the home there are both recovering in. Something strong called him to that magnificent dragon that simmers of gold and silver!
I loved that both Poe and Cade were older dragons that had longed for mates but thought that ship had sailed. Poe hit the jackpot with his being a true mate to Cade. Not only is Cade a fierce protector but his bloodlines were some of the strongest in Lunastra. And these two truly were ambassadors to lead the clans of both the old village Lunastra dragons and the newly formed upper mountain Rocky Mountain clan accepting each other. I see both clans continuing to working together to grow and protect their beautiful universe.
There are so many dragons that you have known that are all joining together in this new place they call home. You don’t necessarily have to have read all the books that connect to the Rocky Mountain Clan/Clutch that have gathered and built their homes in the upper part of the mountains of Lunastra. But the families are growing up and new additions are starting to appear. I loved getting to see those men and their families and how they have adjusted and grown.
I am looking forward to the rest of this series. I believe that it will continue to let us watch how the two clans interconnect and accept each other. And how they will grow together as Cade and Poe have facilitated and protect what they have. I am hoping that we will also get to see Cade’s friends Tyr and Harden find their true mates too. I am really loving this new series that is incorporating so many of my favorite dragon shifters with new found family.
