The Primordial Protectors of Clan Denarius have been tasked with protecting the gems, the heart of their existence, from falling into the wrong hands.
Ionus, eldest Denarius brother, has spent decades training his stubborn siblings and keeping them in line. But he longed for the freedom to take time off from worrying about them and focus on seeking that which his heart truly craves.
His mate.
If they even exist…
Alexander is a free-spirited omega. A rock climbing, cave spelunking adventurer on a quest to visit the most untouched cavernous terrains in the world. Much to his grandfather’s dismay, he leaves his GPS behind and is soon lost in a twisted maze of caves deep below the surface.
When all attempts to find his way out fail, Alexander comes face to face with a world he never knew existed and creatures he never imagined.
What would Gramps say about that? Possibly something about being dropped on his head one too many times.
A fierce dragon protector meets a thrill-seeking human who takes too many risks and somehow manages to capture his ardent heart. Could this be the mate he’s dreamed of or his worst nightmare?
Amethyst Storms is book 1 in the Primordial Protectors series. What happens when a fierce stickler of a dragon meets a thrill seeking human. Sounds like an ad for man seeking man, right? Well, we can promise you it’s anything but that.
REVIEW:
Wow! What a super fantastic ride and I can’t wait for more in this wonderful dragon universe!!!
Alex loves to climb mountains and go spelunking in untouched caves. And he doesn’t need the compass that his Gramps wants him to use because he has his trusty GPS. But this newest adventure is proving to be even more treacherous than he expected. When he finds himself in a really cool cave and comes face to face with 5 very large and angry looking dragons shocked doesn’t come close to the realization that those myths are as real as the dragons they told about. Ionus is the eldest of the the Protectors. The five dragon shifter brothers are charged with protecting the Dragons and their kind. But this tiny human somehow fell past their protection wards right in their laps and Ionus’s dragon realizes that his wait is finally over because the Goddess has sent him his largest desire…his true mate!
I really enjoyed that Ionus and Alex were fated but stuffy Ionus definitely met his match with this strong-willed and independent young omega. Alex was what he needed to embrace living and not just worrying away his life about what was to come. Alex brought his caring side out and humanized him more. And I loved that Ionus, Dragon and Alex could mind speak and became a committed relationship with all three actively participating in learn about each other and how to navigate this new love. Alex was the breath of fresh air that Ionus desperately needed. And Ionus was the mate that Alex never realized he needed. I loved watching these two navigate their relationship and the close bond that formed. They not only loved each other but they learned how much they needed the other and how to learn that depending on your mate isn’t a sign of weakness but of maturity and strength.
So much happened in this amazing book. We learn the history of the Clan Denarius and what the brothers duty is as protectors of dragons and their clans. We learned their sad history and that they have been preparing for a long time for the clash with evil clans that is coming soon. I loved that we got to meet all 5 brothers and learn a bit about their vastly different personalities. It set us up for hopefully each brother finally discovering their fated mate just like Ionus did with his Alexander. And I’m pretty sure we know who Caro is fated to and that’s going to be a story for sure. And I’m wondering about that new omega at the diner in Dragon City too!
