REVIEW:
I always enjoy that author Kota Quinn has her characters from the many different series interact. One constant place was at the quaint coffee shop with the amazing bakery goods. Cinny Latte has been a staple in Olivia Cove and Kota’s books. Now we finally get Riley’s story!
Riley wants…no needs a Daddy so badly. But he is so busy with his twin sister Beth, runny the Coffee Shop and bakery Cinny Latte that they took over after their dad’s heart attack, that he barely has time to sleep let alone find his perfect Daddy. Add in that he has a bad case of anxiety especially in social situations like the Dark Satin kink club’s Little’s auction. Going across a stage and having all those sexy Daddies watching can be terrifying and debilitating. Daddy John wants his own boy to cuddle and spoil. He thought that was his best friend but it wasn’t meant to be. Now that he’s able to retire much earlier from his highly successful financial career he can start to devote time to what he loves best…being a very talented wood crafter and being a daddy. When the little he is very interested in, from the caution brochure, at the charity auction his friend Hunter and his business partner Cal’s kink club is hosting, that he’s been designing custom pieces for, doesn’t come on stage he’s both disappointed and concerned and his Daddy comes raging to the surface. But Hunter reassures him that stage fright got the best of Riley and that he’s back in the play room. After observing the sweet boy he sets a plan in motion to make his Christmas more fun and less stressful.
I loved how nurturing John was to Riley even though they never really met at the club. Having Hunter as a Santa Daddy’s helper worked perfectly for me and I loved that they got to know each other remotely before they actually met in person. It gave them time to get to know each other and not move too quickly.
My one of my favorite parts of the story is how Daddy John helps Riley move on from Christmas. The way he helped him transition from Christmas to Valentine’s Day and how special he made that makes it a perfect Valentine’s Day love story too!
I hope you enjoy this heartwarming novella as much as I did. It brightened my heart and made me smile And what could be more fun than a little bit of Christmas cheer mixed in with Valentine’s love?
