REVIEW:

Holy H3ll this book punches you right in the emotions, you feel everything rage, despair, attraction, pining, pain, love. What an absolutely gripping read, I could not put it down. I mean I was expecting it to be brilliant but it blew my expectations out of the water.. so unbelievably good.

Good lord these two were the definition of unhealthy and toxic together when the story first starts. Their past peeled back slowly to reveal nuance and trauma. Pheonix is still stuck on Eli but trying his best to move on, still most comfortable being cut off, familiar with being in the outside and Eli is on a path to just annihilating, epic self destruction, running from his experiences with everything he has.

Wow the character growth is spectacular and painstakingly laid out for us to follow. Utterly heartbreaking and living in the greys, graduating from the black and whites we start with. They are stuck at an impasse and walls start crumbling, words gain power to wound and heal and they slowly start knitting together, healthier and more whole in themselves and together. Such a hard fought love and a hard fought future.

Highly recommend this book, it’s one that will stay with me, definitely planning on revisiting it for a re-read. Check out the content warning though, there are a plethora of sensitive topics in this one.

Also I love Jorge and Kelly!!!
