Welcome to the Love Bytes Reviewers’ Best of 2024
Another year has passed in which books have brought all of us a much-needed escape and sense of comfort. Our Love Bytes team reviewed approximately 1,000 LGBTQ+ books in 2024, from contemporary romance to fantasy, paranormal, historical, adventure, mystery, comedy, and everything in between. Each day for the next weeks, we will feature one of our reviewers’ top picks from books and audiobooks published in 2024. These lists highlight how diverse our tastes in reading are, and offer something for everyone. With thousands of fantastic new books each year, written by hundreds of creative and talented authors, it’s so difficult to narrow our lists down. We all have many favorite authors not featured here and wish we could acknowledge them all.

Skin and Bones (London Love #3) by Sophia Soames – Buy Link
I really loved this book, it is high angst and deals with difficult subject matters ,but at its core it’s a book about hope, overcoming adversity and realising that everyone deserves love.
Shadows & Ghosts (City of Shadows) by Lex Veia – Buy Link
I loved this book; it was an interesting interpretation of magic and I really enjoyed the urban fantasy aspect of the book. The slow burn romance was well done and felt organic and realistic, exactly how you would imagine it would progress.
Vilains of Vanguard series by Ryder O’Malley – Buy Link
I really liked the Heroes of Vanguard but the Villains of Vanguard are where it’s at. They are flawed characters, unapologetic for their actions and past crimes but they are such good fun.
Only Unity Will Spare Us (The Magi Accounts) by Michele Notaro – Buy Link
I had been waiting for the final book in this series, it felt like forever. Half of me thought is it not here yet, the other half was equally dreading it as I knew it was going to be a roller coaster of emotions and the ultimate showdown to finish off the series
This book was everything I thought it would be, a fantastic final book
Baby Queen (The Court Series) by Charlie Novak – Buy Link
Charlie once again excels in this latest book in the series. I liked and enjoyed the previous books, but this one exceeded my expectations. Very recommended series.
Steal the Key (Wilde Contracts #2) by Maz Maddox – Buy Link
What a fantastic book, it is a roller coaster ride. There are so many twists and turns, so many emotions and trying to make sense of everything.
Second Hand Skin (Soulbound Universe) by Hailey Turner – Buy Link
It’s not necessary to read the books in the Soulbound Series to enjoy this book. But I highly recommend that you do.
This is a fantastic book set in the brilliant Soulbound Universe.
Twisted Shadows (Sugar & Vice) by Allie Therin – Buy Link
This is the second book in the series and one I was hotly anticipating, and I wasn’t disappointed. The mystery, the tension, angst and suspense are all integral to this book.
