Love Bytes Reviews: Best of 2024 – Lesley

Welcome to the Love Bytes Reviewers’ Best of 2024

Another year has passed in which books have brought all of us a much-needed escape and sense of comfort. Our Love Bytes team reviewed approximately 1,000 LGBTQ+ books in 2024, from contemporary romance to fantasy, paranormal, historical, adventure, mystery, comedy, and everything in between. Each day for the next weeks, we will feature one of our reviewers’ top picks from books and audiobooks published in 2024. These lists highlight how diverse our tastes in reading are, and offer something for everyone. With thousands of fantastic new books each year, written by hundreds of creative and talented authors, it’s so difficult to narrow our lists down. We all have many favorite authors not featured here and wish we could acknowledge them all.

Christmas Falls Season 2 Buy Link

My favourite Christmas series this year was Christmas Falls season 2.

Not only was it nice to revisit Christmas Falls but makes it stand out from all the other good Christmas series is the overlap between the books. Although all written by all different people, it feels like they all planned their individual stories together.
Honorably Discharged Series by Nora Phoenix & E.M. LindseyBuy Link
When 2 of your favourite authors get together to write a series that is usually a good thing. This series is quickly becoming a favourite of mine and I really want to read the rest of the series.
Fen by Barbara ElsborgBuy Link
This book really got to me and it was only the ending that I didn’t like.  It would have been a 5 out 5 book for me if it ended differently.
Wrecked for the Holidays by Kerry Kirkpatrick – Buy Link
It felt like I was waiting for ever for this book I wanted it so badly and I wasn’t disappointed.
Taylor-Made for me by K.C. WellsBuy Link
Ms Wells is an automatic one click author for me. It doesn’t matter the genre. This was a different to her other books but worked
Dragged Home for Christmas by K.C. WellsBuy Link
K.C. Wells also wrote another one of my favourite books this year Dragged Home for Christmas. Again very different to her other books this time about a bunch of drag queens.
Tides of the Heart by Dave HendersonBuy Link
This book tugged all my heartstrings. The main characters suffer from PTSD, Deafness and one is a German Shepherd support dog who will risk it’s own life to do what it is trained to do.
Husky Love by Gabbi GreyBuy Link
This part of the Gaynor Beach Animal Rescue series and contains a young Dad who has just taken his two young children and run away from his abusive ex husband. From and emotional perspective the hardest read of the series.
Fractured Hope by Kady CordovaBuy Link
Some favourites seem to be either really light and fluffy or really angsty. This was definitely angsty for with a hard fought for HEA.
