The geek, the cowboy, and a not-so-grumpy holiday…
Moody
Living in Christmas Town doesn’t make me a fan of the holidays. Quite the opposite. In fact, eleven months of the year, I’m perfectly happy running my bookstore in peace and quiet. Of course, that changes in December when it’s mistletoe madness and mayhem. Ugh.
But this year, there’s a new cowboy in town and it’s not as easy to grumble about…anything. I admit, Hudson is handsome and hunky, but everyone knows I’m not myself till January, so he’ll have to buzz off and charm someone else.
Bah humbug.
Hudson
Moving to California wasn’t in my plans. I could use the change of scenery, though, and Oak Ridge Ranch is a good investment. That’s not a sneaky way of saying I’m hiding from my past—no siree. I’m following a new path to a new town, that’s all.
And so far, so good. Except…my attraction to the nerdy bookstore owner is throwing me off my game.
Look, I’m not interested in anything other than a casual hookup. But Moody is a mystery, and I want to know more about the adorable geek with a sunny disposition who turns into a holiday grump every year.
For some reason, he feels like home away from home. December may be the last month of the year, but something tells me this is our beginning.
Moody’s Grumpy Holiday is an MM grumpy-sunshine, romantic comedy featuring an adorkable geek, a hunky cowboy, and a little seasonal magic.
REVIEW:
It is always a joy to be aible to read a new story by author Lane Hayes. I love her storytelling and writing. So when this holiday story was presented I was delighted to be able to read and review it.
It tells us the story of Moody and Hudson. Moody the grumpy book owner and Hudson the easy going cowboy.
Moody is a beloved member of the little town of Christmas but in December he changes to a grumpy bah humbug and then there is a cowboy who made a 180 degrees move to this little town, wanting a new start.
You can feel the connection between them the minute they lay eyes on each other.
It is interesting and fascinating to see how things evolve and I am not going into specifics because that is for the reader to experience.
For me it was interesting to follow their dynamics, both seperately as well as together.
Also the sweet presence of Vicky is wonderful.
When we follow their story we find out why December is a hard month for Moody and Hudson tries to make sure that Moody gets different views/feelings on December.
Like I mentioned you can feel the connection and author Lane Hayes takes us with her into these men their lives.
Hudson is patient and understanding and Moody is sweet and caring for everyone around him, knowing all the people who come in his shop.
There were parts in this story that made me smile so big and there were part which made me swoon and I love that in a good holiday story.
Absolutely a great adorable lovely story, go and enjoy it 🙂
