Author Monthly Blog Post – Anne Barwell – Gone Reading

This month, after a conversation with a friend, I’ve decided to take a month off writing ie I’ve given myself permission for down time, not only this year, but during the final month of every year going forward.

December is a hectic time of year with concerts, Christmas events and lead up, and birthdays, and I’ve writing this post at the last minute as I’m chasing my tail even without trying to fit in writing. I didn’t need health stuff rearing its head on top of everything else.

The graphic kind of sums it up. Instead of fishing, I’ve gone reading.

Wishing everyone a safe and happy holiday season and I’ll see you in 2025.

And, as part of the Christmas season the ebook of On Wings of Song is on sale this month.

A chance meeting they never forgot.

Six years after meeting British soldier Aiden Foster during the Christmas Truce of 1914, Jochen Weber still finds himself thinking about Aiden, their shared conversation about literature, and Aiden’s beautiful singing voice. A visit to London gives Jochen the opportunity to search for Aiden, but he’s shocked at what he finds.

The uniform button Jochen gave him is the only thing Aiden has left of the past he’s lost. The war and its aftermath ripped everything away from him, including his family and his music. When Jochen reappears in his life, Aiden enjoys their growing friendship but knows he has nothing to offer. Not anymore.
