BLURB:
Living in a town named Christmas Falls with a name like Gray Frost, you’d think I loved Christmas.
On the contrary, I’d rather get a root canal than participate in anything remotely festive. Yet here I am—running the regional airport for commuter airlines and rich guys who have nothing better to do than fly in for the season.
Just today, I picked a fight with a pilot—the wealthy and wickedly attractive Sunny Day. He’s as irritatingly cheerful as his name would suggest, even when his plane breaks down. He’s a little less bright when he realizes I have the only spare bed in town.
The only point in his favor is that he hates Christmas as much as I do. When I find out what stole his joy, though, I have to wonder if the town’s charms can give him back the love he once had for the holiday.
Christmas Falls: Season 2 revisits a small town that thrives on enough holiday charm to rival any Hallmark movie. It’s a multi-author M/M romance series.
REVIEW:
Sunny Day nearly crash lands in Christmas Falls for a much needed respite from the big city. He is looking for a place to move from Chicago because he’s tired of the hustle and bustle and he wants to relax and enjoy his life a little more. But his landing gear didn’t cooperate and he’s newly instrument rated. Uh-oh. He manages to land, but Gray Frost, the airport’s owner is none too pleased. Miriam, his Air Traffic Controller is renting Sunny a cabin. But the roof caves in thanks to heavy snow. With the Christmas festival in full swing, where there is no room at the inn 😉 Miriam insists that Gray do the right thing.
Sunny is attracted to the Grumpy Gray, but he doesn’t have an alternative, so he goes with Gray to his home. To say that Sunny is surprised by Gray’s beautiful home is an understatement. He realizes that there is a lot more to this guy than the gruff exterior. For his part, Gray thinks Sunny is the most gorgeous guy but he’s not used to anyone in his space. But he offers to show Gray around the town.
While exploring Christmas Falls Gray notices that Sunny doesn’t like crowds. Sunny notices that everyone deeply cares about Gray and teases him about this less than Holiday Cheer. Except for Griff of course 😉 They meet a lot of the folks in town and it’s clear that this little town is a caring and quirky place. Sunny shares that he doesn’t much like Christmas after losing his mother and Gray shares his own battles. In the end, they meet in the middle and boy what a meeting it is 😉 The nearly explode when they get together. But what does this mean for the future? Would Sunny really want to live somewhere that Christmas is an all year round lifestyle? Is Gray ready to let someone into this life for real?
This is a very sweet and spicy holiday romance between two men who aren’t that keen on Christmas – even though one lives in Christmas Falls and one is thinking of moving there 🙂 Sunny tries very hard to live up to his name. Gray is a bit of a grumpy Gus. Both find in the other someone they can be their genuine selves with minus the facade they portray to the rest of the world. When Gray offers shelter (well really is voluntold) to Sunny after his original accommodation is uninhabitable due to heavy snowfall, well they end up getting very friendly 😉 Their dogs get along and they realize there is much more to the other than meets the eye. Sunny is not just some rich a-hole and Gray has hidden depths that he ends up revealing to Sunny. Their banter and teasing is adorable. Their chemistry is off the charts. In the end, their quirks fit together quite nicely and they learn to protect each other from the things that make them uneasy. I really enjoyed seeing them take advantage of the town’s holiday offerings and the fun that comes with small town hospitality. There are some lovely cameos from other past couples in previous books too for fans of this series (both Seasons 😉 ). This Season of Christmas Falls has lived up to the hype! Recommended indeed.
