Just before seven o’clock Langdon arrived. He was wearing a snug pair of jeans, with a white shirt and black jacket. The shirt was open to the middle, showing his muscular chest, with tattoos on full display. Eric almost drooled on the menu. He stood up and gave Langdon a quick kiss on the lips, not caring what anyone thought. It was London; most people either didn’t give a shit, or were so self-absorbed in their own lives, they wouldn’t even notice.
“You look amazing,” said Eric.
“So do you. I like that colour on you.” Langdon stroked his arm, and Eric was half-hard from the physical contact. He had to sit down.
Eric suggested they choose what they wanted so they wouldn’t keep being disturbed. Langdon took all of five seconds. Decisiveness was hot. It didn’t take Eric much longer, as he was a creature of habit with most food. There was no sign of their server, so they put their menus to one side. Eric took hold of Langdon’s hand, which he didn’t object to. Eric had always been comfortable with PDA, whether he was with a man or woman, but it wasn’t for everyone.
“What did you do with your day off?” asked Eric.
“Went to the gym, visited Charlie’s mum, caught up with some of the guys, although most of them were at work.”
“How often do you go to the gym?”
“Four times a week. How about you?”
“What’s a gym?”
Langdon chuckled. Their server arrived to take their order. Langdon didn’t break the connection of their hands, so Eric didn’t either. Langdon went for the chilli garlic prawns, and a pepperoni pizza. Eric opted for the garlic bread with cheese. You can’t beat a classic. For main, he was having the baked cannelloni. It was never something he made at home, so always a winner when he was out.
Conversation was easy between them, as it always was. Eric was slightly envious of Langdon’s friendship group; it was something he’d never had. He’d always found it easy to make friends, but he’d never had the core group who spent all their time with each other.
Dinner was delicious, and Langdon felt the same, based on the moans he was making. He smirked at Eric. The fucker was doing it on purpose. It was difficult to concentrate on your meal when you were hard as steel.
