What happens at a Las Vegas pop-up wedding chapel, stays at a Las Vegas pop-up wedding chapel… Until it doesn’t.
Muir
Fitz and I have done some wild things, but waking up as newlyweds? Total disaster.
It threatens to expose the one secret I’ve kept buried for years, the only secret I’ve ever kept from my best friend—that despite us both being straight, I think I’m in love with him.
When Gramps needs me to stay married to lock in my inheritance, I’m terrified my feelings for Fitz could destroy everything we have.
Fitz
To the world, I’m the glitter-bearded, onesie-loving quirky vet. Sure, that’s part of who I am, but it’s not the whole picture. Only one person truly knows me—Muir.
When he tells me he needs us to stay married so he can keep his grandfather’s house, it’s a no-brainer. Of course I’ll help him out.
The real question is: why does staying married to my best friend feel so right?
If you’re looking for a double bi awakening, woke-up-married, friends-to-lovers MM romance, you’ll love The Quirky Vet. It’s a deliciously fun, low-angst adventure with a guaranteed happily ever after!
It’s book 2 in the Vet Shop Boys Down Under series, and while it can be read as a stand-alone, you might enjoy reading Book 1 first.
REVIEW:
Imagine: two best friends, both vets, both work at the same clinic, both propose to their girls at the same time, both get rejected, but still end up married… to each other! That’s how they woke up.
WTF happened?
Drunk happened. The strange thing about it all is that both guys aren’t that sad being dumped. They just go on with their lives, they have each other, right? Right! They really don’t need anyone else.
Sooo, married and how further is the question.
It’s not the first time Muir feels strange things when he looks at Fitz, the guy is hot.
Muir’s gramps suggested keeping the marriage alive, this way Muir can inherit Gramps’ house.
“Life is as simple or as complicated as you want to make it, Muir.” Wise words Gramps, wise words.
So Muir confesses to Friz about his feelings. Will Friz freak out and run? Ha! As if!
Without spoiling more about the story, I’ll just keep it at it’s not a magical fairytale where they sealed their future after one kiss, it’s a process, and that’s the charm of this story!
Btw, the people around them are as crazy as Muir and Friz are.
“I’ve always been told I’ve got a big mouth. Glad to be finally putting it to good use.”
It was such a fun story, with a great sense of humor, sweet, and s€xy. Two lovable characters who deserve all the love! The story had even some tissue moments.
The whole story is awesomely written, a joy to read!
