Welcome Skylar 🙂
When Cesar fell…
I was a boy in love with my best friend.
I’m a man now, but I’m still afraid to tell him and risk our friendship. As a UFC fighter, I know how to feel invincible but don’t know how to protect my heart from rejection.
When Kieran awakened…
Helping my best friend get a date should be easy. My older brother is a good guy, and it’s the holiday season, full of giving and joy. So, why am I finding it impossible? It’s a romantic Christmas con, only… I’m the one falling for Cesar.
Maybe it’s those romance books I’ve been given or the unexpected jealousy, but I can’t let Cesar date my brother. Not when I’m just discovering my sexuality and how to deal with my embarrassing health condition. I don’t know what it all means, but one thing I do know? Cesar is mine.
Tropes: holiday romance, childhood friends, role reversal, friends to lovers, pining, small-town, bi-awakening, hurt/comfort, and slow burn.
Once Upon a Christmas Con is a part of the multi-author series Once Upon A Holiday Story. Each book can be read as a standalone and in any order. What links these books together is The Hook’s Book Nook Traveling Library, a library on wheels owned by two old ladies in love.

The sky was light but hazy, as if more snow might fall. And I flickered some snow off my gloves before sitting behind Kieran in our sled. I settled my legs on either side of him and wrapped a hand around his waist.
“Let’s do this,” I said.
He turned to flash me a giant smile. Then we launched down the hill. Our weight making us more pathetic than fast. No matter. Kieran was laughing, and his joyous laughter made me laugh too. We got downhill, our sled circling at the bottom, our hats flying off. Kieran jumped up to retrieve them. And I could have gazed forever at his windblown hair and pleased face.
“We did it.” He gave a victory dance, kicking up snow as he wiggled his hips. He was still an awful dancer. Yet he was gleeful, free. I’d never want him to be anything else.”We gotta go again!”
“You’re a nut,” I protested, a huge dumb grin on my face.
We trudged up the hill a few more times. It got a little more crowded as the sun peeked out. We had our fastest run near the last attempt, barreling down the hill, yelping like puppies. Kieran wanted to go repeatedly, with his unstoppable energy. Then the weather changed a little, a fresh snow falling. Some people left, but we stayed.
“We gotta play in this,” Kieran declared, sticking out his tongue to catch a snowflake.
And we played. Laughing, sledding, trudging up and down the hill. It was the best part about December when you had a Christmastime wonderland. We lost one of my gloves, and my knuckles got red and scraped. Kieran fell off the sled at least once in a clumsy tumble. Our cheap sled cracked under our weight near the front around lunchtime, but if perfection was measured by pure happiness, this day was flawless.

Eventually, we left the hill for a coffee shop. Munching on pastries, I savored the smell of espresso and its welcoming gurgle, while Kieran got an extra milky hot cocoa.
“Even with a hot drink, I’m cold in these wet clothes,” Kieran said.
“Let’s go back to your place then and get you into warmer things.”
“What about you?”
“I’m okay. Hot-blooded.” I grinned, smacking my lips on my muffin.
Kieran just rolled his eyes.
As we drove to his place, the wind picked up.
“Looks like the weather’s turning,” I said.
“You can sleep over.” Kieran shot me a mischievous grin, his eyes sparkling. “Especially if you get naked.”
I shook my head. “Ready for more, are you?”
“If you can handle it,” he teased.
I grinned. I loved giving Kieran pleasure, proving to him that I could handle his excessive cum and more. I wasn’t joking how addicting it all was. He was. He could paint me in his cum for all I cared. And I didn’t care if we went slow, and all I did all night was blow him. His pleasure when he orgasmed was my pleasure. I loved seeing Kieran’s blissed-out face. My Secret Santa idea may have gone south, yet I won the best prize in the world.
Once we reached Kieran’s, I yanked him onto my lap. My hand on his back, my mouth locked on his. Outside, the wind howled, picking up strength. We were nearly oblivious to the storm, our focus on each other. I nibbled at his neck, loving the way it made him shiver. He smiled at me. His eyes the color of a bright sky. His breathing soft…
