REVIEW:
Buckle up and enjoy the wacky world of Rhubarb Shifters, this is a fun read, a bit silly and very tongue in cheek. This book continues the overarching plot of mysterious happenings in Growville, shifters attempting to kidnap Rhubarb’s and both the pack and the town banding together to keep everyone safe.
Apollo is a feisty omega lion shifter and Glass is an arrogant, overbearing Rhubarb but is there more to Glass than meets the eye.
Apollo and Glass face several barriers in their fledging relationship. Firstly, there is a significant misunderstanding, when they first meet and realise they are mates. Apollo believes that Glass’s behavior is a rejection, while Glass’s arrogance and lack of clear communication exacerbate the issue. Secondly, there is interference from their families, which complicates their attempts to connect and understand each other. The switched bags with unexpected and kinky surprises create additional awkwardness and obstacles, however this is also what finally breaks through their frosty behaviour and enables them to connect.
Their relationship is marked by moments of vulnerability and acceptance, allowing them to overcome their differences and build trust. Glass’s efforts to woo Apollo, despite the initial awkwardness, show his genuine affection and commitment. Over time, their relationship blossoms into a loving and supportive partnership, proving that even the most unlikely pairs can find love.
They are very different, Apollo has a spirited and bold personality, despite his initial misgivings, he shows deep loyalty and commitment to Glass, the pack and his family. He has an inventive approach to problem solving. Glass is determined to win Apollo over and beneath his arrogant exterior, he genuinely cares for Apollo. His ability to adjust his plans and approach to better suit Apollo’s needs which shows his willingness to grow and change.
When the unthinkable happens and Apollo is under threat, the whole incident has a profound impact on Glass. It forces him to confront his true feelings for Apollo and realize the depth of his love and concern. The fear and urgency of the situation strip away Glass’s usual arrogance and reveal his vulnerability and determination to rescue Apollo. This experience strengthens their bond, as Glass’s actions demonstrate his commitment and willingness to protect and support Apollo. The ordeal also helps to break down the barriers between them, leading to a more open and honest relationship. It’s a pivotal moment that brings them closer together and solidifies their connection.
