REVIEW:
For me, these college age MCs can be very hit or miss. I enjoyed these two those.
Ben and Jett have a history. They are enemies at college. Ben is very focused on school. Jett is very focused on having a good time. Ben is the guy who is a wet blanket on Jett’s fun times in their dorm. But they are supposed to be spending the holidays together in a remote cabin at a mountain ski resort. They appear to have nothing in common. Except their parents are dating and so they are thrust together. Neither is happy.
Then the worst happens. A blizzard has them trapped in a cabin that is about to lose power. The have limited food. They have limited supplied in fact. Jett decides to head out to get more supplies and he is completely unprepared for the weather. Sometime later Ben realizes that Jett is gone. He goes after him and finds him freezing! When they get back and Jett warms up, well sparks fly. Talk about unexpected!
This leads to sharing body heat – and much more. The parents can’t get to them and it looks like a pretty lean Christmas. But then they feel like they will be OK. Even though Ben is completely inexperienced, Jett takes the lead and their chemistry is off the charts. Turns out the line between love and hate is pretty thin 😉
Jett and Ben are not just enemies but opposites. But when push comes to shove, it seems like they might not hate each other so much. The twist with the parents was unexpected. While I enjoyed their escapades in the cabin, the real rubber meets the road when they get back to civilization and have to deal with their feelings 🙂 They are young but they know they have to be honest and figure out if what they have is real. There isn’t truly too much holiday celebration here, but it turns out to be a very impactful Christmas anyway 🙂 Fans of New Adult and enemies to lovers will enjoy this story. Recommended.
