This is Book Three from the series Wings ‘N’ Wands from the amazing duo of Jocelynn Drake and AJ Sherwood. This is a spinoff from Scales ‘N’ Spells which featured the Burkhard Fire Dragon Clan. Wings ‘N’ Wands focuses on the Valerii Ice Dragon Clan from Brazil.
In this third installment, we have Gregori and Salem who is a doctor, who does not believe in uprooting his life as a doctor in the US in order to be with his “Dragon mate” in Brazil. He just can’t, with his record in relationships, he cannot afford to lose himself again in a relationship. Although his twin brother, Sam, found his mate in Dimitri, his brother was meant to be with the Ice Dragon clan in Brazil, he just isn’t.
When Salem found out that he and Gregori (Gregori told him himself) were mates, he ran back to the US and back to his job as a Pediatric Doctor. Gregori went with him, of course. Gregori wormed his way into Salem’s life. Gregori made sure that Salem ate right, he prepared his meals, and he found activities that would allow him to show Salem that he can adjust and that he can be of use. His clan was very supportive of him and his endeavor to win over Salem who I think was more afraid of letting down Gregori through his failed relationships more than anything.
I thought Salem must be blind to think that this amazing and beautiful dragon would just give up on him. He already has doubts about his feelings toward Gregori, but he is always being held back by failing in a relationship, he is hung up on his failed relationships. But Gregori is a totally different kind of person/Dragon than those he ever had any relationships with. Gregori is beautiful, kind, caring, thoughtful and a Dragon. One of the most beautiful dragons Salem has ever seen.
So when Gregori started losing his magic, he attributed it to being tired and too far away from his clan. You see. Dragons cannot live away from their own clan for too long, they thrived through their clans. But when Gregori started losing his strength and nearly died, Salem had to decide if his stubbornness is worth losing Gregori at all. They had to fly Gregori back to Brazil, back to his clan. Salem has never been this sorry in all his life, he never thought that almost losing Gregori would finally break his stubborn mind from accepting the fact that he and Gregori were meant to be, that they are mates.
A very beautiful ending story to an amazing Dragon clan who will always live up to the Burkhard clan. Thank you Jocelynn Drake and AJ Sherwood for this amazing world you created, I am going to miss all these beautiful characters but I am also looking forward to your upcoming collaborations!
