Lonely.
Loneliness is an uncomfortably familiar emotion For Chase Prescott. As the lead singer for the band Embrace the Fear he’s constantly surrounded by his bandmates and best friends, but regardless he feels solitary—separate. Alone.
Casey Robinson hasn’t had a boy in too long. Over the years he’s had boys of many types, but none stuck around. What he craves is a little of his own but searching for his boy has left Casey feeling empty.
Chase is all tangled up inside, silently screaming, envious of what his friends have but not knowing how to get it. Then a friend suggests he check out the club he and his boyfriend frequent as a way of getting out of his own head. At this point Chase figures, why not?
Resigned to giving up his club membership, Casey walks the halls one last time to say his goodbyes.
A brief pause in front of the littles room changes Casey and Chase’s lives in the best of ways.
This is the fourth and final book in the Embrace the Fear series featuring a little screaming to be set free, a Daddy ready to give up, and a best friend that turns into a know-it-all butthead.
His Last Chase is part of the multi-author Road to Rocktoberfest 2024 series. Each book can be read as a standalone, but why not read them all and see what antics our bands get into next? REVIEW:
Finally we get the not-as-straight-as-we-all-thought lead singer Chase’s story!
Chase is really feeling the fact that all of his bandmates have partnered up with amazing men and he’s all alone again in his life. But that’s how his life goes unfortunately. Since he was young and his mother’s life was taken in a car accident he has been alone. Yes he had a step dad but he basically gave up on participating in his life when his mom died. Thankfully his best friend David’s family took him in to their lives. But when David realizes that Chase is a little he makes it his mission to set him up with his Dad’s best friend Casey. Casey is a literature professor at UNLV and has come to the conclusion that him finding his perfect little to love and take care of just isn’t on the cards for him. But when his godson David asks him for a favor he will never say no. Now he’s at Cordes and seeing a very much grown up Chase who pushes all his buttons. But can a college professor with a few years on him and a famous rock star make life work?
I loved that David recognized that his best friend since childhood Chase, who is now his roommate and the lead singer for their band, recognized that Chase was a little and sent him to play in the Littles room at Cordes. And even though the club scene wasn’t for Chase it lead him to a Daddy that David knew would fit perfectly and some wonderful new friends to play with. And Chase and his Daddy Casey were the perfect fit. Chase finally had the love he needed in his life and Daddy Casey would do anything for the boy he fell head over heels in love with. Casey would always make Chase his number one priority. And Chase would always be his “good boy”!
I am always sad when a series with one of our rock groups ends however I know that this won’t be the last time we see these guys. Thankfully Author TL Travis has her rockers as mentors with other up-and-coming bands managed by Masterson Management. And knowing that Embrace the Fear is touring with Chaotic Abyss means we will see more of these guys and their partners again.
I highly recommend that you read this series in order to understand the dynamics of all these men and how much they mean to each other. A huge thumbs up for this book and series.
