Nothing like getting caught streaking to bring people together for the holidays…
Jordan
I’ve got a rep in town for causing trouble, and it’s well-earned. But when Nick and I get caught streaking after the tree lighting ceremony, we’re in for a mess load of community service to get the town ready for the Collier’s Creek Christmas Bash. Except I’ve been craving to be taken more seriously, and Nick seems to be the only person in town who does.
Nick
After Jordan and I get in trouble, one joke leads to slipping between the sheets—or at least, the stalls—and suddenly we’re hooking up on the regular. It’s everything I’d told myself I didn’t want from my straight best friend, and I’m falling too hard and too fast. Yet my sister’s upcoming wedding is the reminder that I’m not just looking for a plus one there…but for keeps, and Jordan and I are just temporary. No matter how badly I want him to be mine.
Celebrate the holidays with the men of Collier’s Creek, where magic fills the air and irresistible romances are the highlight of the festive season. Six low-angst romances, each filled with heartwarming moments and swoon-worthy romance.
REVIEW:
I will be honest, when I saw the title of this book my heart sank. I thought “what am I being asked to review”. I was so relieved to see the authors note at the beginning that it was meant to be funny and was called I’ll Be Boned For Christmas because it made her smile.
I am pleased to say that this friends to lovers Christmas tale was a really enjoyable read and it made me smile.
It features town joker Jordan and Nick (Rogue) one of his very close friends. We have previously met them in All The Wrong Pages as Jordan is Coopers brother. It really doesn’t matter if you haven’t read any Colliers Creek books before because all the characters that pop up in this book are explained. There is no prior knowledge assumed.
Jordan, Nick, Hal, Andy and Chad are the towns troublemakers. After a night of heavy drinking at the towns annual tree lighting ceremony they decide to go racing whilst naked on some local farmland. This doesn’t end well for Jordan and Nick who are the only 2 that Sheriff Morgan manages to catch. Instead of being formerly prosecuted and sent to court the Sheriff decides to give them community service helping the town’s Christmas Bash committee get ready for the festival. But is spending even more time together really a punishment? Both Nick and Jordan are not very successful in love maybe it’s because they have been looking in the wrong place.
One of the things I love about this book and series is all the other characters that you get to revisit along the way, such as Jordans large family, the Ellis’s, which is full of characters .No one can forget Geraldine the old biddy with Barkasarus Rex and there are little nods in this book to other books in the series with characters such as Jed and Noel mentioned from the next book in the series Meeting Mr Christmas.
This was a really fun start to this series. It was well written, flowed well and really introduced the town and characters well for any readers new to the series and I can’t wait to read more of them.
