What are your favorite holiday traditions?
Usually Dominic and I have a big holiday open house for family and friends. We’ve done this almost every year that we’ve been together. It was something we started when we were first dating in order to meet each other’s friends. We’ve held the party each year except for 2020 when everyone was in lockdown. Dominic usually cooks up a storm with cookies, dips, meatballs, and goodness knows what else. He has always gone all out.
But this year is going to be different. I haven’t talked about it much, but he and I are going to be cutting back on a lot of what we do this year. Dominic is having surgery on November 11th and that means that we have already had to cancel the open house and cut back on a lot of what we will be doing. He and I will still celebrate the holiday, but in a much simpler manner. And maybe that’s not such a bad thing.
I hope everyone has an amazing holiday season!!!!!
