BLURB:
I know I should keep my hands off of Montrose. But the one thing dragons and demons have in common is how much we love to play with fire.
My youngest brother has always had a knack for getting himself into trouble, but this time he’s stolen from the wrong demon and it might just be the last mistake he ever makes.
I have no reason to trust Montrose, but my dragon does anyway. There’s something about the vibrant, sassy incubus that calls to me, no matter how hard I try to resist.
Saving my brother’s scales should be top priority, but this inferno between Montrose and I just keeps heating up.
If fate put him in my path, can I trust that we’ll make it to the other side of this disaster together? There’s only one way to find out…
REVIEW:
NOTE: This is the fourth in the series and there are major spoilers for the previous books. That said, it can technically work as a standalone – but I recommend reading/listening in order 😉
In this story, the Drake brothers get involved after their youngest brother Mac shows up running from a demon. A demon he’s stolen something from. Something that is important to the demon.
When Valentino meets a demon and has the best sex of his life. He has nooooo idea that Montrose is not who he seems 😉 You can see where this is going. Turns out Montrose is working Valentino to get back his stolen artifact. Woooooboy. Valentino is pissed off! Like really pissed off. This starts a plan to throw the Drake weight around and “defend their honor” and that leads to a trip to the demon realm. Oh boy.
This wasn’t what I expected at all! Montrose the demon is like no character in this series. He’s quite the wild card. His interaction with Tino is a real roller coaster. I loved the interplay between Valentino and Montrose. The rest of the Drakes try to reason with Tino – but to no avail. But there is more between Montrose and Tino than just a revenge plot 😉 And it’s a wild ride!
I absolutely love these books in Audio. Michael Ferraiuolo’s interpretation and performance of this dragon family and their mates is just so good 🙂 The dragons are amazing – growly and intense. I enjoy the variations in couples. The humans and paranormal mates are so interesting in their own right and the combinations in these books are very hot. There are plenty of smexy times too. All of the Drake brothers are consistently voices. I have no idea how Michael keeps all these characters straight 😉 Montrose is a real character in every sense of the word. Fascinating powers and forms 😀 It’s a crazy ride and I was there for it. Highly recommended.
