Consort of the Dragon King is the second book of the Bonded Hearts series and part of the Talwyn Saga universe. Please do not read this until you’ve finished Mage of the Dragon Prince first, as this series must be read in order to fully understand it. Full of dramatic twists and turns, this book will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very last page. The story continues in Lord of the Lone Wolfand concludes with a happily ever after in Fury of the Fated Mates.
REVIEW:
I am literally book drunk! Just Wow!!!
This book picks right up where the cliffhanger of book one left off. Kitaro is now King Kitsuki and has been waiting 600 years for his beloved Vanra to walk back through the ancient gate. While Kitsuki is in a sword fight with his miserable excuse for a half brother Kio, Vanra finally appears and stops the bloody fight. Kio is livid that his brother , the “Ice King”, has claimed Auslin/Vanra while he was back in time and vows to take back what is his. But the Mage’s heart is with his love of his life and nothing is going to stop him being with Kitsuki and completing their bond.
There is so much that happens in this amazing book that will take over your whole life reading as fast as you can because you are so book thirsty. I love this epic series. True love that binds true mates forever in a bond. Kitsuki and his sweet brother finding their fated mates/bondmates that were prefect for each of them. But would you expect less when the fates are set? And their sister Kizoshi’s joy at her brothers each finding love and joy in their lives. I truly enjoyed getting to know more about all these men and what they are discovering about themselves and those surrounding them. And that visit to Divine Realm…just Wow! I can’t wait until Sephen and Kisano finally get to meet Liros!!!
There is way too much unfolding in this second book to list and I don’t want to spoil a moment. But, in true Zarina Aston fashion, she ends this with a cliffhanger of cliffhangers! I have grown very fond of the unloved Maseo. His story is so heartbreaking and I just want him to get the true love he deserves after everything that both Kio and his disgusting father Nasume have done to him.
I will warn you. This book is going to grab hold of you and you aren’t going to want to put it down. So curl up in your favorite reading spot with a mug of something yummy and prepare for a journey that you never saw coming. And, if for some reason you haven’t read the prequel, Enchanter of Dragonse, and the first book, Mage of the Dragon Prince, then I warn you that these must be read in order! But what a journey awaits you 💕 Huge thumbs up
