Rhett Marsh
When my leg shattered, I thought my whole world was shattered.
Riggs pieced both back together again, and then he disappeared.
I never expected to see him again on the other side of the world.
Navarro Riggs is a lot of things…
Devastatingly hot.
My savior.
A brave warrior.
But, my physical therapist? Yeah, I didn’t see that coming.
I’d consider it a gift from the universe, if only he wasn’t trying his damndest to stay far away from me.
Navarro Riggs
We met on the battlefield under a hail of bullets and blood.
Our bond was instant, forged in trauma. Unbreakable. Everlasting.
He wasn’t just my patient, he was mine.
I trust Rhett with my life, but can I trust him with my heart?
Warrior’s Walk is the third book in the Scars And Stripes Trilogy. This MM romance tells the story of trauma bonding, disability and mental health struggles, starting over after you’ve lost everything, and finding your inner warrior. Other tropes include age gap, found family, and possessiveness.
REVIEW:
The foreword will make you realize writing a story like this is serious business.
It was a masterpiece, the author outdone herself. ALL the hearts and stars for this book!
This book tells the story of Specialist Rhett Marsh soldier in the 82nd Airborne US Army, and
Navarro Riggs, combat medic and Army nurse, and working at the BALLS.
Dang, the moment of impact was horrible! It was so vividly written, that my stomach couldn’t handle it.
Rhett is hanging on by a thread. Medical nurse Navarro Riggs tries his very best to keep him alive. There’s an instant strong connection.
“Don’t care if I die, just don’t want to die hurting this bad.”
Luckily he didn’t die, sadly we can’t say that about his buddy.
With his legs in pieces, a long way of recovery and revalidation is in front of him. And that’s only his exterior, imagine how his mind is shattered.
Weeks later Rhett meets Riggs again at the medical center.
Just as the first time the attraction from both sides is there.
Riggs works as a physical therapist at BALLS: Beyond the Army: Legion of Love Soldiers and convinces Rhett to head over to Black Mountain and start living a better life. Nice bonus, Riggs lives at Black Mountain and will be closer to Rhett, the man he can’t get out of his head and heart, but has to remove him from them.
To say things got complicated is an understatement, jeez the sexual tension is killing. Jealousy is ugly, denial is ugly. Riggs has a job to do, taking care of Rhett is his first priority, and he will not give in to Rhett’s flirts. Imagine when he leaves after his recovery.
But guys… the tension, the hurt, the hard work, the doubts, my heart!
Bitches With Stitches, the support group for vets with trauma, are the best buddies. My heart hurts for what they have all been through and warms how they help each other through tough times.
It’s such an honor to call them your friends!!
There is a side story that has an important place here, read it yourself, I’m not gonna spoil about!
Rhett and Riggs are fabulous, I love them dearly!
A grand finale of a more than impressive trilogy.
Spoiler… there’s more Bitches With Stitches coming next year!!
