Owen
I’ve been in love with Barrett since we met in college. Ten plus years and nothing has changed. No man would ever measure up to him, so why would I waste my time? They’d never be Barrett. I’ll never be the one for him, so I work as the in-house designer at Barrett’s firm and take what I can get. He might be a Daddy, but he’s not interested in my kind of little.
Barrett
I’ve been in love with Owen since college. More than ten years later, and that hasn’t changed. I’ve tried to move on from him, but other men have never measured up. To keep him close, I hired Owen at my hospitality firm, and I take what he’s willing to share. Owen might be a little, but he’s not interested in my kind of Daddy.
These two best friends will need some help from fate and a little magic to make their happily ever after happen.
This Daddy/little story includes cuddles, bottles, ABDL, and a feisty kitty ready to throw down to protect their new favorite human. This book can be read as a standalone, but there are reccurring characters from Book One in the series.
REVIEW:
It is not often that I would say don’t read the first book in the series before reading the second, but I would with this book as I have had a bit of a problem with this book. One of the main characters Barrett appears to have changed professions in the second book. In the first book when we first see him he is working the counter of a café that he owns and it is mentioned in passing that he owns several local business.
In this book he is the CEO of a biggish conglomerate that has a variety of different businesses and is not likely to have the time to help behind the counter of a café on a regular basis. It is mentioned in this book in one line in passing but I found it really distracting, which is shame.
Now you have been forewarned hopefully you will be able to see beyond this to what is otherwise a well written, lovely story. This is a best friend to lovers’ story with Owen and Barrett both crushing on each other since they met at college. Both are fated to be single forever because no one will ever be able to match up to their best friend.
Owen is a little Little who has been told that no Daddy will want a baby and besides Barrett only plays with Middles.
Barrett only plays with Middles because then he can’t compare them to the Little, he really wants Owen.
I loved that fact that we got to see more of Jackob & Rory and their Daddies who we met in the first book and the fact that this was a story about two side characters from the first book
I did enjoy this book once I got over the Barrett job gripe and I am looking forward to the rest of the series and the Christmas book about how Jakob and Reed met. I do still want Anders to get his own book. Is he a Daddy, A boy or something else ?????????????
