REVIEW:

This is the story of Will and John, two side characters from the Tap Tavern/ Takoda universe and also the closure of the storylines of all the boys we have met in this universe.

Darn, I didn’t get emotional reading this book but writing this I am. (Nose blown, eyes mopped). This is a bitter sweet book for me, as it’s the last of nice side of Takoda Universe books. I am very sad to let these characters go, who we have seen grow and develop through multiple series .

Will & John met eight years ago when one of Will’s housemates was dating a colleague of John’s and they have been inseparable since. Will knows he is the luckiest boy in the world, with the best Daddy ever. John looks after his every need, however there is something missing for Will. When John keeps finding Will looking at pictures of nurseries or designing nurseries on their computer, he thinks Will wants a family. I did have to giggle at myself my brain instantly went ABDL – guess what I have been reading a lot of lately.

Not wanting to spoil anything too much but I did love Will’s response of horror when John finally mentions it

As you would expect from a wrap up book with the help of his Daddy and his friends from Toby’s crew Will does get what he wants for both himself and his Daddy.

There is also a nice scene at the end where we get to find out what all the boys have been up to and some of their Daddies and fathers too. (Eyes are leaking again). At the end of this book the Takoda universe books does seem nicely wrapped up.

Will we get to see more of the boys of the Tap Tavern in the new series The Devils Deal Duology – who knows but I am certainly intrigued to find out.
