REVIEW:
Let’s start with the cover because I think it is wonderful. It absolutely drew me in and made me want to read this story.
I love me a good cowboy/rancher story so I was excited to start.
The start and the set up from the story took me a bit by surprise, and I needed a minute to get into it all.
The forbidden expect is not one I am opposed to but this kind makes me normally a bit cringy.
I am glad to say that didn’t last long, author Sage Abbott has a absolutely great way of drawing you into this story and makes you very much involved in the undeniable chemistry and pull between Gray and Ozzie.
You simply cannot deny what is happening between these two man, despite what the underlying predicament is.
You sense they belong together and I noticed myself loudly cheering for them.
To be honest I would have loved a bit more story and interaction for example with their family and friends and less on the sex so to speak.
I found it very interesting to see how Matty was responding to the whole experience and I also would have loved some more Opie and Lawson. And what about Gray’s friend Pascal?
I do want to give a special mention to Gertie as she sounds like a wonderful loving grandma that everyone would want to have around.
Can I finish with I am so freaking excited to read Matty’s story? The epilogue had a small sentence that gave something away on that part but I really hope that the release date I saw on amazon is a placeholder and the book will be there sooner than that.
As this book is titled book 1 in a series and Matty his book is the second I am also hoping for books for Rowan, Pascal and even Carter.
Oh and lets face it everybody needs an Opie in their lives, right 😀
