They call me Dreamboat for a reason. My friends say I’d flirt with my shadow if it got me laid, and they’re not wrong. I’m a good-looking man with a high sex drive and I love a good time. I know what I like and have no trouble getting it.
As a former Navy SEAL, I’m highly trained to handle dangerous situations. The security firm I work for with my three best friends in Portland has given me a new lease on life, away from danger.
Everything is great until I piss off the wrong people. And they want me dead.
Now this protector needs a protector.
And he happens to be the one man I can’t forget. The one I hooked up with a few months ago in Vegas. The one who sees me for who and what I am and still seems to want me. And that’s scarier than any enemy I’ve ever faced..
The Dreamboat is Book 4 in the Portland Protectors–EHM Security Series. It’s an age gap, running from love, and the protector needs a protector MM romance.
REVIEW:
Note: This is the fourth book in this series and contains major spoilers for the previous books as well as the Package Deal series books. It can be read as a standalone, although I think understanding the context is best served by reading the series. The timeline also runs concurrently with the Billionaire.
Brent Trainor is a former Navy SEAL. He is now working with his former teammates in Portland with EHM Security. This is a band of brothers who bonded over their many risky missions and the loss of a teammate that made them even closer. Brent is the goodtime guy. He’s a love ’em and leave ’em, not going anyplace twice self-described manwhore. Except when it comes to one guy. Commander John Langdon.
John has retired from the military and is now weighing his options. GQ – aka Jesse is the head of EHM – wants John to join them as trainer for new hires to the organization. He wants to do that. Except that he and Brent hooked up in Vegas 5 months before and he doesn’t want to leave it there.
When John gets to Portland, Brent tries to throw him off. He tells them he’s a one and done man. No love. No relationship. No plans for the future. No settling down. Too bad for her than John can see right through his lies 😉 But Brent is going to take some persuading.
Of course things don’t go smoothly and there are bumps in the road. But they do work together and well, it’s clear there is a lot more there under the surface. Brent’s past is definitely in his way and John wants to make things better for him.
Sadly this is the last book in this series 🙁 I have loved these guys in this fictitious Portland AU. This story was so good. John and Brent were totally meant to be. Their chemistry and banter and then their deep feelings were just *chef’s kiss*. I love a good age-gap story and this one has the added bonus of a little Vegas hookup 😉 No spoilers here but seriously this was soooo good. I loved these two together. Brent definitely had issues to address and John was there to support him. It’s a lovely HEA and a great finish for this team. Highly recommended! I sure hope we see these guys again in this universe 😀
