Falling for him would be pure folly. I know that. Now all I have to do is convince my heart…
Allowing a strange dragon into my home was not my idea.
The Assembly assured me it was necessary, though. And that’s how I ended up with him.
Ollie Shaw is clumsy. Unfairly hot. He stumbles through my life leaving a trail of chaos and sunny charm in his wake.
And I hoard every moment with him like he’s my greatest treasure.
But with an entire dragon territory to rule, bills to pay, and treachery brewing in my family, I can’t afford to be distracted by Ollie’s copper-gilded beauty and boundless enthusiasm.
I especially can’t give in to my dragon’s primal urge to claim him.
Because loving him could cost me everything I’ve fought so hard to protect. And that would eventually come back to bite us both—with dragon’s teeth…
Dragon’s Folly, Book 3 in the Wings over Albion series, is a sweet and spicy, grumpy/sunshine, forced proximity paranormal m/m romance.
REVIEW:
When Ollie attends a Dragon Moot as a least objectionable alternative companion, he doesn’t expect to be part of an inter-house socializing experiment. With his family on the brink of breaking up, the last thing Archer wanted was to host an outsider – especially one as upbeat as Ollie. But Ollie has an indomitable spirit that breaks down barriers.
Dragon’s Folly is book three in the Wings over Albion Series. I loved how different book one was. Book two was a good story but lacked dragon action. Book three, Dragon’s Folly, has dragon drama in spades, which made my day, and the appearance of characters from book one was a sublime addition.
The story is told in the first person from the viewpoints of Ollie and Archer. Worldbuilding revolves around a run-down country estate, complete with Folly and Maze.
Archer raised his siblings from an early age and took on an estate that suffered from his father’s lack of business acumen. Having no one else to rely on, and relatives that don’t have his best interests at heart, Archer is used to working/processing alone. Thus, he is the strong silent type who looks drool-worthy working his forge and anvil. He’s determined that his sister and brother have the childhood that he didn’t, which is a path that has also caused strain.
On the outside, Ollie is the soul of security and fun. On the inside, he feels inferior. All of this is due to his lack of academic success and being put down by his family, who compare him to others who have found an approved path.
There’s a lot of, should I, shouldn’t I – I really shouldn’t, but I’m going to, and one helping the other to realize their potential. Ollie and Archer’s journey towards each other is emotional, and physical, with a hefty dose of dragon flying, possession, and history, which gets various elements of the dragon world involved for good and nefarious reasons.
Dragon’s Folly was a pleasure to read.
