TITLE: His Holiday Hero
AUTHOR: Charlie Richards
PUBLISHER: eXtasy Books
LENGTH: 55 pages
RELEASE DATE: January 3, 2024
BLURB:
Mick Rozner thinks his date is going well. His new online friend is funny, attentive, and seems into him. When Mick returns from the men’s room, a stranger stops him from taking a sip of his martini. To his shock, the man claims his date slipped something into it while he was away from the table. His date’s refusal to take a drink himself all but confirms it.
After Mick’s date leaves in a huff, he invites the stranger to sit down, and Casper joins him. When Casper expresses an interest in him by commenting on Mick’s scent, he realizes the big, handsome man is a shifter. Unable to help himself, Mick accepts the proposal of a one-night stand. After all, he’s never been with a shifter before.
Can Mick accept just once with his hero or can a little holiday magick turn it into something more?
REVIEW:
Mick is on a date with Kenneth, a guy he connected with on a dating app, when he leaves to go to the restroom and call his cousin Dave to check in. Things seem to be going ok. When he returns to the table, a guy stops at his table and tells him not to take a drink from his cocktail – that his date put something in it. Mick is gobsmacked and stunned by the though of someone doing that to him. When Kenneth refuses to take a sip of the drink, it’s pretty clear that the stranger isn’t lying. Mick invites the shifter (he knows he’s a shifter by certain tells that he’s learned about from his cousin’s SO who is a shifter) to sit as they wait for the bill. After Mick pays, the stranger, Casper, asks if he can see Mick home – and more 😉 Mick agrees.
Mick and Casper have an incredible chemistry and Casper is surprised to find out that Mick knows he’s a shifter. They both have the best one night stand of their lives. And both miss it and want more. But Casper is a long haul trucker and Mick has his business. Maybe they can date? Oh and maybe that no good Kenneth is still causing problems 😉
This is a short novella that doesn’t cover any new ground. If you’re familiar with Ms. Richards writing and shifter series, you will recognize the connection these two have pretty quickly 🙂 It’s short and hot and sweet and of course the good guys always win. There is the required HEA too 🙂
