BLURB:
What do you do when your dad tells you he’s married the woman he had an affair with? Go out and get drunk.
At least, that’s my plan until the cute guy behind the bar chats me up. One thing leads to another, and we end up in bed together, only for me to discover he’s the last person on earth I should be fooling around with.
The problem? I can’t keep away, even though I know I should.
The more time I spend with Archer, the deeper I fall for him.
But when everyone around us will judge us for being together, can I be brave enough to admit he’s the best wrong thing to ever happen to me?
Best Wrong Thing is a one-night stand to lovers forbidden romance, with an age gap relationship, a strained holiday, and parents behaving badly.
REVIEW:
Jacob and Archer. What can I say? Jacob is doing his best to keep his father in his life, even though he’s more angry than he’s ever been. And who can blame him?
Archer? All he cares about is Jacob. Archer is sweet and sexy and kind and everything Jacob wants…and everything he shouldn’t go after.
I love the instant connection between these two. Normally instalove is a big no for me, but it really worked in this instance because they really, really had to work through things to be able to have each other. The struggles they have to go through, not only against outside forces, but also against themselves, especially Jacob.
I really liked the premise of this story. It worked well for me. And the characters were interesting and compelling and I could have read a few hunderd more pages about them. But that’s just me being greedy.
The relationship between both men and their families is what made this book work so well. I love that it wasn’t easy for them to figure out but I also love that the angst wasn’t really between Jacob and Archer but it came from the outside world. They had to work together to figure out how to have their happily-ever-after.
The sex is heckin hot but there is also a lot of talking things out and that makes it even better as far as I’m concerned.
If you like sweet and funny with a little bit of heartache and pain, you are going to love this story. I have no problem giving it an enthusiastic 4 hearts!
