Sebastian Storm didn’t dare dream of a future beyond Storm House. He never hoped James Gray might want to keep him. But it seems that’s exactly what James plans to do.
Too bad they won’t last. No one ever picks Sebastian, and he can’t see why James would be any different, especially when Sebastian is keeping a secret he dreads having to reveal.
But he can’t keep it to himself when the curse that’s haunted him his whole life isn’t done with him.
Sebastian should have known escaping wouldn’t be easy, but he never expected the curse to grow or to face worse things outside Storm House’s walls. Shades are wreaking havoc on Moonlight Falls as something even more sinister builds beneath the surface.
With so much at stake, Sebastian has to risk everything. He needs to know if James can be the one good thing in his life that lasts. To find out if they can stand together when things get worse, not better. And just maybe, they’ll be able to build a future out of the rubble.

The Cursed Sebastian Storm is book two in the Moonlight Falls trilogy following James and Sebastian’s story. This MM paranormal romance ends in a HFN while the overarching plot continues, and the full HEA and resolution to the story comes at the end of book three. These books must be read in order. REVIEW:
Note: This is the third book set in this world and the series needs to be read in order.
When we last left James and Sebastian, they had finally gotten free of Storm House. BUT that doesn’t mean they have solved their problems. Like AT ALL.
When James and Sebastian come into town, the promised date is dinner at the diner. However, once they are at the diner, Eli, James’s brother is furious that James has disappeared for weeks holed up at Storm House and then just shows up like nothing ever happened. James and Sebastian don’t want a scene and it’s clear that they are unable to share what is happening. They get their food to go and skedaddle.
When Eli and Parker, James’s best friend and Eli’s boyfriend, show up. They are not happy that James isn’t forthcoming. It takes some rather clever maneuvering on James and Sebastian’s part to help Parker figure out how to help them so that they CAN tell everyone what happened. Whew! But that doesn’t mean that things are over either.
Despite James and Sebastian sharing their theories and what has been happening at Storm House, there are still barriers to them being able to seek outside assistance. And Sebastian is hiding something that he fears will mean he loses James for good 🙁 He’s been crushing on James since he was a teenager, so this is something he really wants to avoid. But he wants to be worthy of James and if he keeps this to himself, he knows that he can’t be.
Meanwhile the shades continue to act strangely – and not just at Storm House, but in Moonlight Falls as well. Things go from bad to worse rather quickly. Sebastian and James and Eli and Parker and Hazel and Eleanor, the mayor do everything they can to deal with the darkening that seems to be taking over Moonlight Falls. But how can they use the magic veins to their advantage? Sebastian is desperate to save James and the town, but he’s not sure how he can do that.
Whew! What a rollercoaster ride. James and Sebastian go through a lot again. There are forced beyond their control and while they have managed to escape the house, the curse seems to be coming to them now! They remain trapped to some degree and when the dark magic overtakes the whole town, well they don’t have a lot of ideas how to respond. And nobody seems to be coming to help 🙁 James and Sebastian grow closer and Sebastian continues to deal with the feeling that he is not deserving of someone like James and that he won’t be enough and James won’t keep him either. Given the way his family treated him, that’s not so surprising. James has moved past the worst of his overworrying, but frankly there is a lot to be concerned about with this curse and the uncontrolled magic that is taking a very sinister turn! Nothing is really resolved, but they live to fight another day – or should I say in the next book 😉 Recommended. I am looking forward to getting more answers in the next installment!
