REVIEW:
I was not quite sold on this story after the previous book, but I was curious enough to give this one a go. I’m glad I did. This group of guys is still a bit over the top, but when you put it into perspective with the Russian Mafia ties, it is a bit more understandable.
This installment is about Viktor, the Russian goalie, and the new assistant coach, Beckett. Viktor is definitely a hand full, and he has his sights on Coach Beckett. Becket, on the other hand, is attempting to restart his life after an injury took him out of hockey and an ex turned psycho on him. Doesn’t take long before he can’t resist Viktor.
These guys have a more volatile relationship than most, with a bit of D/S here and there which makes for some pretty hot and heavy scenes. I loved how Viktor and Becks eventually adjusted to each other, or how Becks was able to be the one who could handle Viktor and his “issues.”
There are quite a few really interesting characters involved and we seem to learn a little bit more about them and how they are tied together with each book. Some are friends and some are related, but they are all fiercely loyal and have each other’s backs. I flew through this installment and am really looking forward to the next one.
