BLURB:
I’ve been sold to an unfriendly foreign land of dragon shifters to become a brood slave.
Tavi is a set-omega, which means he has no inner beast and cannot shift.
Considered worthless by his wolf pack, and with no individual rights, he is sold into slavery along with other set-omegas as they come of age.
Alluresh is a dragon shifter, all business and very little play. His inner dragon is feral and often controls him, shifting inappropriately at times, creating chaos and damage. Others fear him, causing Alluresh to become bitter and reclusive.
All of that changes when a shady friend from his past invites him to an omega auction. Alluresh attends, only to discover his dragon has eyes for one of the omegas for sale, demanding he bid on him or else.
What is Alluresh to do but obey his beast and call out a ridiculously large sum?
REVIEW:
Yay! A new omega novel by the Queen of Omega books!
Tavi knew his destiny was doomed the moment he failed his shifter test. He was a set-omega and the pack would sell him off, most probably to a Dragon Flight because they produced so few omegas themselves, to carry the heir for the dragon that bid the most for him. He would be their property to do with as they deemed. Probably sold off when they were done with him to the next buyer in the flight. It was how it was. He had heard the horror stories of how wolf set-omegas were used and abused. They had no rights and were a burden to their pack. So, as soon as he reached his nineteenth birthday, he was taken from his Papa sold and transferred to a flight and the next day went up on the auction block. Alluresh had no control over his dragon. Allure was feral, wild and out of control. If he wanted something and Alluresh tried to say no he shifted and caused major damage. So when Noah, his former foster brother, called about the newest set-omega auction he was holding, he declined. The whole selling of these men was barbaric and disgusting. However Allure had different thoughts and off they went. When both Allure and Alluresh were attracted to the same beautiful man, despite for different reasons, Tavi was whisked away to their castle after fetching the highest price ever. But what happens next for the sweet omega and the Alpha with a fierce wild dragon?
I had never read of set-omegas in my books so I was intrigued by this dynamic. And I have grown very fond of dragon shifter novels so this book was definitely on my must-read list. I fell for the sweet Tavi immediately. Who wouldn’t with what his life was set for him just because he couldn’t shift? But it was Alluresh that won my heart. He was all alone because his beast of a dragon could not be tamed and contained. People were always fearful that Allure would burst forth, nasty temper and all, without notice. But it turns out that Tavi was the calming factor to quell Allure’s beast a bit. I love how they all worked as pieces of the puzzle to make a wonderful life filled with love and promise. And that all their fears and loneliness was calmed and fulfilled.
I love Wendy’s omega books. They are always filled with such hope in the end after turmoil in the beginning. They brighten your life and warm your heart.
