They say never fall in love with your best friend.
Drake is my best friend.
We’re Ash and Drake. It’s been like that for as long as I can remember. He should know everything about me, except for one little secret.
I don’t think I can hide my secret any longer. Honestly, I don’t think I want to. When Drake wins a trip to a popular adult theme park that happens to be every little’s dream, I’m over the moon.
Drake might be my best friend, but would he ever consider being my forever Daddy?
Drake is part of A Daddy for Summer, a multi-author series. All the books are standalones. So why not stay and read them all?
REVIEW:
I can just image the collective sigh of relief from all their friends when these two finally figured themselves out!
We first got to know Ash when we were on our Gay Pride Cruise with Noah, his best friend Jules, Jules’ Daddy Cal, and Dylan, Jules’ older brother that Noah had crushed hard on for years. Dylan was Ash’s roommate and we witnessed the meeting and bond formed between Ash and Daddy John. We knew it was platonic because Little Ash only had love deep in his heart for his best friend Drake. But Drake was clueless. What we didn’t realize was that Ash was in just as deep denial of Drake’s feelings for him. And the fact they had that “moment” at their good friend Joshua’s wedding that they both conveniently forgot the next morning was a flag that should have at least started a round of conversation. But both separately thought it better to ignore it and brush it off as nothing happened and they were drunk. Yet neither forgot about those hot moments and dreamed of more!
I loved that even though Drake had no clue about the Daddy/little dynamic he took it in stride and immediately started reaching out to his friends and researching. The fact that every one of their friends recognized that he was a natural Daddy and that their love that shimmered was a given. Those two were perfect for each other and always had been. I get that they were both scared of what saying out loud their thoughts and desires for fear of ruining their best friend relationship. But they had, unbeknownst to either of them, been living that way forever. Dylan always looked out for his best friend, making sure he ate and, with that eating, made sure he ate some healthier choices than just nuggies. And he was aware of Ash’s oral fixation. His natural caregiver personality just went with the flow. They just needed a gentle shove to make it finally happen. Ash being brave and confessing his Little side was huge but he had no reason to worry. Drake would never judge Ash but only support what he needed.
I love that Kota Quinn has developed this universe that everyone knows everyone in Olivia Cove and, despite their various kinks being diverse, support each other and their kinks that make their lives richer and full of love. I look forward to many more visits and getting to see more characters we have met find their much needed HEA with their special someone.
