Blue Mountain University 5
Tyler
It’s senior year. I don’t have time for a relationship, let alone a sudden realization that I’m not as straight as I thought. Seth’s always pushing me. A few drinks leads to us in the same bed with a girl, and I have a harder time keeping my eyes on her than my teammate. I should focus on my grades and graduation, not offering Seth a chance to fool around with no strings attached. Only the more time we spend together, the more confusing things get.
Seth
Never fall for the straight guy. Tyler is everything I want, except for one tiny little detail. It’s no wonder when I get the chance to have him in my bed I take it, even if it means someone between us. One night to get him out of my system, that was the plan, except both of us want more. I tell myself I can keep my heart out of it when he kisses me, but maybe it’s already too late.
Offsides is a MM bi-awakening teammates to lovers romance novel. Although this is book five in the series it does standalone.
REVIEW:
I can’t believe that senior year is upon us and we are learning about the final couple in this series!
Tyler and Seth have grown up in the same small Eastern Oregon town all their lives. And they have always been competitive with each other. So, after dancing at the frat party, taking one girl back to Seth’s room and having a three-way shouldn’t be shocking. They have always challenged each other. But that moment opens Ty’s eyes that he might not be as straight as he and everyone else thought always thought he was.
I really, really didn’t like Ty’s dad. His abuse of power over Seth really ticked me off. He wasn’t homophobic, which is a good thing since both of his college age kids are bi, but he is an elitist prick that felt he could control beyond his role. I loved that Grandma put him in his place!!
It’s always hard to come to the end of a series. I was first attracted to this series because I knew La Grande so well and actually dated the quarterback of the college football team on and off for a couple years when I was in college. I actually made my daughter-in-law drive me through the town on our last trip to Eastern Oregon when we were visiting this spring. That town and the school has grown so much since the 70’s! But it is such a cool place to visit and brought back warm memories as we drove past the dorms and the stadium.
It was great that we got to have a few cameos and catch back up with some of the previous couples from the team. I’m pretty sure there weren’t many members of the soccer team from this class that weren’t bi or gay before they graduated.
This has been a wonderful series that captivated my attention.
