Austin knew change was inevitable, but he hadn’t counted on just how difficult it was going to be… for all of them. He, Weaver, and Randy have been together for two amazingly hot years, and then with a single decision, everything is different. When Randy receives an offer on his gyms in Brooklyn, he jumps at it and switches careers with a teaching job in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
Weaver is also interested in making a change after nearly burning himself out as a lawyer. With both of his passionate partners needing something new and Austin’s modeling career cooling as he ages, the three of them decide to relocate from New York to Carlisle. Randy settles into his new position, and Weaver easily lands on his feet, but Austin wonders how he is going to fit into their new world.
Austin knows he has the support of the men he loves, and who love him, but he needs to pull his weight. With very few prospects, what could small-town life hold for him? Randy and Weaver have their special way to make him forget, but it will take more than love and hot sex for the throuple next door to start the next chapter in their lives.
REVIEW:
I have enjoyed Andrew Grey books for years but I think this one might just be my most favorite.
Austin, Weaver and Randy are an established and loving throuple. Where one goes the others follows. So when Randy gets an offer on his small chain of gyms in New York City and has a chance to change careers Weaver and Austin support his decision. That’s how we find Austin is standing in front of the door to his new home in the quaint town of Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Randy has the chance to become a professor at the local college and his men support him completely. And go-getter Weaver is a leading authority in International Law. Of course he landed a teaching position at Penn State Law. They were lucky to get him! But what is a past thirty fashion model suppose to do in Carlisle? He has most of the money he earned during his career but he needs to be an equal contributor to their family.
I was thrilled to get to do this. I have met Andrew before and loved that he incorporated his actual throuple neighbors, his husband and himself in this wonderful book.
These three men struggled a bit with how to make moving to the quaint town work but the love that all three had was real and easily felt through the book. Yes, Austin was the newest addition (2 years) to Weaver and Randy’s six year relationship, but he was the piece that finally made them complete. I can understand Austin’s anxiety over all the sudden changes in his life. His very successful career as a sought after fashion model was nearing the end, he has lingering issues with stability in life from his youth, and suddenly he is uprooted and moved to small town life where he has absolutely no idea how to move forward. That’s downright scary. But Randy and Weaver were there for him and kept telling/showing him how important he was to their family.
I particularly loved the night Neighborhood wine and treats gathering. This is the kind of neighborhood that you hope for in a big move. The openness and acceptance of a throuple was awesome. This is a community that comes together and supports one another and it was refreshing to read of a real place like this.
If you are looking for a fast read that is heartwarming and refreshing, then this book is definitely for you! Huge thumbs up! 👍
