Mystery, temptation, and risking it all.
James Gray lives a life free of complications. Even in Moonlight Falls, a town known for supernatural activity, he stays away from the more sinister magical arts, preferring the simple work of a magical electrician.
Sebastian Storm is a man James hasn’t thought about in years until he hears Sebastian inherited the haunted house north of town. Most locals avoid the place. The eccentric Sebastian moves in and requests James’s help with electrical problems.
Storm House’s shade infestation is the first hitch in the job. The second? Sebastian. He’s doing his best to get James into bed. James doesn’t want any part of Sebastian’s games, no matter how attractive he is, but James begins to wonder if there’s more going on at the haunted property than Sebastian will admit.
Uncovering secrets will only bring trouble, but James can’t help himself. There’s something about Sebastian he can’t shake. What’s the worst that could happen if he lets himself be seduced by the mystery as well as the man?

The Seduction of James Gray is a slow-burn MM paranormal romance featuring a grumpy man with a soft heart. It is the first book in the Moonlight Falls trilogy following James and Sebastian’s story and ends in an HFN. The overarching plot continues in book two, with a full HEA and resolution to the story at the end of book three. CW can be found using the look inside feature and on the author’s website.
REVIEW:
Note: This is the second book set in this world, and I’d recommend reading the prequel, The Fall of Elijah Gray, to get a better sense of the his magical world and it’s inhabitants – especially James and Sebastian 😉
James Gray lives in Moonlight Falls, a particularly magical place. He run his family’s electrical business and he receives a rather strange letter from Sebastian Storm. Sebastian is a few years younger than James and he vaguely remembers him from high school. Sebastian is living in his family home well outside of town and on the creepy dangerous road where James’s parents died in a car crash when he was 15. He really has no desire to go, but he can’t ignore a request for help – that’s just the way he is.
When James arrives at Storm Manor, the gate is locked and he has to hop to wall to get in. Sebastian acts rather strangely and there is definitely no electricity at the house. James looks at the setup – which is over 80 years old. He examines the place and is attacked by Shades for his trouble. Clearly this needs a full update.
When he returns, all of his equipment seems to be having trouble. Oh and his truck dies too. He can’t figure out what is happening and why he’s not able to do his work. And Sebastian seems to be acting very strangely as well. What is going on??
Ok I’m not going to spoil the mystery, but frankly, the lack of electricity is the very least of Sebastian’s issues. James figures out part of the problem, but that leads to a much worse problem. And that worse problem sucks James in as well. He and Sebastian are going to have to find their way out of this mess without any outside help – and that’s a tall order.
There is much dark magic, curses and a slow-burn here. James is a tender heart underneath his stoic exterior. He feels badly for all Sebastian has been through. He’s also attracted to Sebastian, but he’s worried that circumstances are fueling their behavior and relationship rather than any real connection. They really have to work as a team to figure a way out of their predicament and I was there for it. A definite slow burn to get these two together and give them an HFN. All the mysteries are not resolved and who knows what will happen next in Moonlight Falls? Recommended!
