REVIEW:
WOW, let me start out with saying that!
This 5th book in the series is seriously the best so far, at least in my opinion.
If you have read the other books in the series, you could have guessed this one was coming as there has been some teasing about Travis and Caleb and their past.
But boy oh boy, this was better than good! This story has it all – friends to enemies, enemies to lovers, friendship – it’s captivating, interesting and makes you totally invested in these two men and their story.
Travis and Caleb used to be best friends. Their parents are married so officially they are stepbrothers but a misunderstanding/miscommunication (to say the least) messes everything up between them.
When their parents kind of force them to become roommates, their attraction is not deniable anymore.
I love the opposite attract side of this as both men are different but yet you feel their connection.
Travis keeps antaganizing Caleb, trying to get a rise out of him while Caleb struggles with emotions and feelings that he just cannot place being a straight man.
With a little unknowing help from the other park avenue princes who are trying to get Caleb to return to their fold as an ex Park Avenue Prince, it becomes harder and harder to deny what is plain to see for everyone who will take notice, including themselves.
Throughout the whole story you feel the chemistry and the attraction, the build up is pretty slow but very realistic, as with their history it would have been strange if it was all tossed aside quickly.
Eventually sparks fly and it is more than worth it.
The authors did a fantastic job with showing their building relationship on page, even when things evolve between them. It feels very real and understanding. The epilogue is terrific and shows how solid both men, their family and their friends are and I loved it.
As I mentioned before, for me this book was absolutely the best so far and had everything you could have wanted when you were waiting for Travis and Caleb’s story to be told.
Highly recommended and now it is waiting to finally see how East will get his HEA.
