À new life brings hope. But will it also bring Victor pain – or the love he craves?
A chance meeting leads Victor Newton to the quiet town of Sweet Haven. Beaten and broken, he finds something totally unexpected. Friends who are more like family. A job he loves and a home of his own. But there’s a fly in the ointment. He’s crushing on someone who knows about Victor’s past. Someone already spoken for.
Paramedic Denton Colby meets Victor his first day in town under awful circumstances that leave a lasting impression. Denton feels protective towards the gorgeous blond, but as time passes and he watches Victor flourish, so do the feelings he’s kept hidden. Strong feelings he thinks would frighten Victor, who has no idea Denton is bisexual. Denton attempts to move on with his life, dating Nese.
But something isn’t working.
When Denton hears Victor is going on a gay pride cruise as part of a wedding party, he decides it’s time to take a chance, and joins the trip. Now all he needs is for Victor to open his eyes and see him as more than a friend.
Welcome to Pride Cruise 2024! Where the water is crisp, the men are HOT, and the party has started! Each book is a standalone but feel free and dive in and binge them all. You won’t want to miss a second of their naughty antics. If you think they’re silly when the sun is up, just wait until it goes down.
REVIEW:
I’m back on the next Cruise in this delightful series and having a blast!
Victor survived, just barely, his previous relationship. If it hadn’t been for Leeson, who was Davey’s previous ex, he would probably, no definitely would have been dead by now. But thankfully Leeson did reach out to Vic and life is finally good. So going on the vacation of a lifetime, on the gay pride cruise that is where Leeson and Garrett are getting married, is a dream. And getting to be a groomsman for Leeson is a true honor. They have both done so much for him. When Denton, the paramedic who helped save his life three years ago and is his biggest secret crush, appears on the cruise and he discovers they are rooming together life become immediately complicated. But it soon becomes obvious that Denton is not only bi but also interested in him too. But when another passenger of the cruise, Mr. Perfect, has his eye on the hunky paramedic can Vic keep Denny’s interest?
This is a follow-up of Sweet Haven. That’s where we first met Leeson and Garrett and where Victor was saved by the two wonderful confectionery geniuses. It is also where Denton was introduced to the book. This book picks right up from where we left Leeson and company. Now we get to see the grumpy bear (Garrett) marry the love of his life (Leeson). But what I loved was that Leeson is also playing Cupid on this cruise. It’s not enough to get his happily ever after, but he wants his two besties, Victor and Ollie, to get what he has also. And Denny was the perfect man for Vic. He had seen him at his worst, had helped him and then sat back (maybe a little too patiently) for Vic to heal. Because, Nese was not the one for Denny…Victor was!
I think one of the parts I loved best was Denny finally getting through Mr. Perfect’s thick skull that Vic was his and he needed to back off. Also how carful and attentive he was to Vic’s every need. He waited a long time for his chance with Victor and he wasn’t blowing it!
I am really hoping 🤞 that we get Ollie and Beckett’s story next. Body image stories always get to me.
I am loving this cruise series so much and am thankful it brought us back to Sweet Haven and the love and found family these guys have created.
